Out of the two shots, Dame's shot is more impressive/amazing, but still, incredible way to win a Game 7

I think Philly will be a good amount better next year; Jimmy will have his max, and Simmons and Embid know what it takes to get deep into the playoffs, so will most likely work even harder to be better. Simmons is the one who needs to step up the most

Are there any good articles out there about Giannis being in Milwaukee and what he means to the city and why he wants to stay?

Just finished watching this since I was at the John K. Samson/Kevin Devine show tonight. Congrats to the Raptors and @DeathOrGlory. Kawhi was far and away the best player in the series, and Ibaka was especially good tonight. Happy for Marc Gasol, too.

Sixers have a lot of offseason work to do; this will be the most pivotal summer for them in recent memory. I'm a Brett Brown fan, but I'm not sure that he's the guy they need right now to coach this franchise. His gameplan down the stretch was terrible -- they should have been going to the post every time down the floor with Butler/Harris/Simmons/Embiid. That said, I didn't mind his rotations in this round and with such a crappy bench and a 50% at best Embiid for most of the series, they probably overachieved taking Toronto to seven games. Maybe he just needs a season with a more set roster, so I won't be upset if they keep him.

Embiid can cry all he wants at the end of this, and as a fan, I appreciate the emotion, but he needs to take better care of himself. Some of it's not completely his fault, but his overall level of fitness was pretty disappointing down the stretch this year. I'm hopeful that this bad taste will leave him hungrier, though. Obviously, Ben Simmons' offensive shortcomings are well-documented, but I'm pretty confident he'll get to work, especially since he'll be in the final year of his contract (though they'll probably extend him on July 1).

Other than those two players, Jonah Bolden and Zhaire Smith are the only returning players with fully-guaranteed contracts, and they're not-terrible prospects to have. Jimmy Butler was great in the playoffs, but I don't think they should max him. A $40 million payday when he's 34 doesn't make any sense. If they can get him and retain some financial flexibility, great. And it's the same deal for Tobias Harris. He turned down 4/$80 million from the Clippers, but that's about what he's worth. I don't know what to do about JJ Redick. If they can get him for a discounted price, then I'm all-in because he'll win games for them during the regular season. Somebody else is needed for that playoff rotation, though, because he can't play any defense and his shot-making will be largely taken away by the best teams in the East. Hopefully, James Ennis opts-in. It's only $1.8 million, and I like him off the bench. Wouldn't mind Mike Scott returning for about the same price as this year, too. Everybody else should be done. They need a better backup PG (Patrick Beverley, please) and big men to conserve Embiid's availability for the playoffs. And, of course, there's the 1% chance that the Kings win the draft lottery, which would mean the Sixers would get the right to get Zion with the #1.

It should be interesting. This was a really exciting but frustrating year, but I like the way the organization is trending. I had tempered expectations to start the postseason -- I really didn't think there was any way they'd get through Toronto, let alone Milwaukee. But I'll certainly take a tough second-rough exit over where the team was just three years ago after a 10-win campaign with the best starting lineup consisting of TJ McConnell, Nerlens Noel, Nik Stauskas, Jahlil Okafor, and Robert Covington (a starting group that won a grand total of one game). Though I do miss being able to get into Wells Fargo for less than a dollar...
