I'm re-watching the cole vs. gargano match again and i love the focus they put on the prep. That could be an interesting addition to the WWE formula. I know they did it with Dean but showing a kayfabe version of how people prepare for a big match is interesting.

 

Hopefully not, think they've gotten even better with Roddy in there. I really want to see them with all the NXT gold this year. Would be a perfect footnote to their time in NXT.

 

Also Mauro: "And Guys! First. Time. Ever. Someone has kicked out of the Last Shot!" - Like...that's a good example of what i was saying a couple days ago about how stats can be used to enhance moments when done right.

@Henry hit me up for some tips on how to be @Mick's local wrestling buddy. It's a tough gig.

 

Its amazing, but I cant think of a time where Ive actually seen a WWE wrestler reviewing tape...like film study. Sure they do the awkward side stand and watch matches live, but we never see them backstage studying. Or for that matter, we rarely see them working out.

Its like they've taken nothing from UFC and Boxing, where that's 95% of the promo footage.

Lucha Underground did a pretty good version of the "training for a fight" vignettes with Johnny Mundo preparing for Rey Mysterio. And this is one he did prepping for an Iron Man match which sells his character while informing
