Weekly Poll: Favorite St. Vincent Album

Actor is my favorite album of all time. I love that album more than my family.

These are all pretty definitive for me:
Actor > MASSEDUCTION > St. Vincent > Strange Mercy > Marry Me > Love This Giant

 

Alot of the songs on Strange Mercy have such a strong emotion behind it for me, I listened to that album for months non-stop when I was at rock bottom of my life. That album means the world to me.

Actor is like some ominous psychological horror to me and I fucking love it.

 

Sad that others aren't fans of Love this Giant, but that's opinions.

I started on self titled, so I chose that.

 

Its fine? I dunno. It just feels like a David Byrne album that Annie just kinda contributed.

 

My top 3 are Actor, Strange Mercy, and St. Vincent. And my number 1 varies day by day. Ill have to listen to all of them in one sitting and get back to this pull. Love all 3 of those.

Each one has been better than the last.

 

I unfortunately never got deep into MASSEDUCTION. But her run from Actor to St. Vincent (sans Love this Giant) is iconic. Voted St. Vincent, but could easily swing to Strange Mercy any day.

Actor is the best but Strange Mercy is my favorite. Voted Strange Mercy.

 

I enjoy her albums in reverse chronological order, so I'd have to go with Masseduction.

Feels like Strange Mercy is the culmination and refinement of so much of her sound before she made a big shift with the S/T. Love it so much.
