I really hope Tom finds away to move the AVA shows to bigger venues, I really wanna go.

 

Blossom is my favorite because it's a 20 minute drive for me but I'm going to hold out and hope for Groupon. I'm not into Wayne enough to feel good spending over $37 (but it'd still be cool to see him).

 

Anyone got the merch presale code to share? Not that I want to drop $200/ticket but at least want to see my options

Honestly, It makes me full of enjoyment bc this is probably the most music we've gotten/will get from these guys collectively within the same year. Its so great. I'm happy Tom is just going to do his AVA stuff. I've preferred that stuff from him this last half of his career anyhow.

 

Totally stuck in my head when I woke up. Have given it another couple listens with headphones. Reaffirms that I totally dig it. 7.2/10 official grade. As of today.

 

Funny story, I’m a member of Hawthorne Heights’ patreon group and they do these live QA chats ever Sunday. This past Sunday they were talking about the Blink/Lil Wayne Mashup and AvA Rebel Girl and they were telling us about how Tom Delonge randomly donated a shit ton of Macbeth shoes and shirts to them for no reason a while back just out of the blue. They still have some of the shoes but the shirts are so worn they’ve basically become rags to clean their touring van now

I dont think you need tickets for it. Just gotta get there super early. I remember in 2016 I knew someone who got there at 6am and was one of the last people allowed in before hitting capacity.

First listen of the new single I was super confused about what to think. Still not sure I have a solid opinion yet but I'd be lying if I said the chorus hasn't been stuck in my head since this morning.

My thoughts too. Only a matter of if they release the premium/Lil Wayne VIP seats tomorrow or a week prior to the show.

I've truly been trying to give this song a chance since it came out. I've listened to it multiple times, sometimes even on repeat for a while hoping it would grow on me but I ended up liking it less each time. It's not a bad song, it's just boring and it never really goes anywhere, in my opinion. Pretty disappointed considering how I instantly loved BTD and couldn't stop listening to it constantly for at least a week after it came out. It just that it falls completely flat for me in general, and someone is going to hate me for it but huge eye roll at singing about how hard it is being bored in white upper middle class surburbia.

On the bright side the issue isn't with how it sounds and I can see how it's reminiscent in that regard to something like self titled so I'm still hopeful that this is just one of those songs that's going to be a dud for me and still super curious about the rest.
