I truly hope he’s doing okay after reading some insane shit today.

Gimme VIP. Gimme album preorders. Feed my greedy belly. It’s been a Hanukah of sorts for this new cycle.

I could be wrong, but didn’t everything drop at the same time for the CA cycle? Not complaining, just a greedy champ.

I think blink is just such an easy band to criticize because they're just so personality-driven, when a new song comes out everyone wants to try to compare the music to the rest of their discography and categorize it's style, and when they don't they get frustrated when it's easier just to think "here's a new song from Mark, ____ & Travis, cool"

I think he's used to this by now and it doesn't phase him.

Yeah I feel bad for him honestly. Hope he just brushes it off. This is a guy who did Simple Creatures cause he was legitimately depressed in his downtime. Sure he's a pro at dealing with this stuff but today has been just stupid

It’d totally phase me to some extent. But that’s just me.

  8. I’d like to believe this, but I get 1/1000000th of what he does on a scale level and at times it phases me.

Oh same for sure. I'm just being optimistic and hoping he's shrugging it off.

I think this song is something to be proud of. I don't want blink to write anything like their past work. I've heard those songs. I want them to give me an album full of things I've never heard from them. If they released the same album over and over again, not only would they be bored, but the majority of their fan base would be bored as well.

Blink mode is activating. Just listened to Neighborhoods and now throwing on my mix of California and Deluxe.

that was the song I was looking forward to the most because of the clip of Matt recording the "what's the point of saying sorry" line. had no clue it was in the opener. I was floored when I heard it the first time. it was perfect.

Listened to the song again. I just love that damn synth riff in the verses so much. I transcribed the riff to guitar earlier today and its such a classic blink-182 signature riff.

Like it honestly feels like i'm playing one of those old school blink-182 riffs on guitar...because, well.... I am lol

Yeah gave it another shot and just really not liking this direction. Hope I like the album as whole more.

Glad you all are enjoying it! They're great dudes and I genuinely hope this is successful as California and "Bored To Death were!

Blink are stoked on their new album. Tom seems really happy with Angels.

Tom's instagram post today mentioning Blink and Simple Creatures put a smile on my face.

Excited to get some good music.

  17. I hope Mark lurks here. Best vibes on the blink internet-sphere for sure. Not great all the time, but best available for sure.

I definitely don't like this song NEARLY as much as Bored to Death but I do really like it for the most part (but I really don't like how they sing "Blame it-blame it on my youth"). I actually really loved California but I'm also ready to see them try something totally new so I'm very down for this new direction.

My biggest hope is for them to utilize Skiba, the most talented songwriter in the band, more, and this song seems to be a pretty good indication of that

Love the new song the more I listen to it. Sucks the weather here is terrible and doesn't match up well at all lol

Unreleated but I'm watching their Camden performance from 2004 and I love this phase so much. Sure, they played over way too fast and Tom is as out of tune as possible. It's messy as hell and I love it. I also love the different arrangements to the old songs with the new bridges and stuff. It just all works so well for me.

Skiba sounds so good in this song. Hopefully is a sign of things to come.

Song keeps growing on me. One of my favorite things about this is the drum mix, a lot less polished than California, which I think is a good thing.

  24. I think this song sounds bigger than people are giving it credit for. I think this will really play great in the ampitheatres. Great sing along song, especially the bridge / end of the bridge when everyone can yell "I don't need an excuse".

blink-182 has been catching flack while remaining one of the biggest bands since Enema. I’m sure Mark is fine.
