  1. 5 and 5 sounds great to me if they're sequenced right.

  2. Mark said I could give him a tour of Imagineering and/ or the Walt Disney Studios so anyone know what size chorus merch I should gift him?

So I missed 15 pages of posts, but I just got around to listening to this once through. Can someone give me the cliff notes on what everyone is complaining about?

I for one think it fits the mold of the overplayed songs on alt rock radio stations. Not that it’s a bad thing, it just had a very systematic approach especially with the repeated “blame it, blame it” and the gang vocals.

Lyric-wise it still seems like a cookie cutter California track. Again, not that it’s a bad thing, just seems like it could’ve been a B side of CA.

I think the instrumental is very interesting and I definitely think this song is a grower. I’m still very very excited for the new album and I think it’s an interesting step for them.

I tend to overplay singles, so I’m going to try and limit it to one more listen before the album comes out (which is rumored to be the week of June 27).

  4. I think he's like 5′ 11″ ... but a total dad ... so that's definitely between that Medium/Large spot.

I’ve listened to the new song twice. I like it. Hopefully it grows more on me, but I don’t like to overlay a song before an album comes out. Looking forward to hearing it more in album context.

Mark is over six foot for sure. I'm 5'10" and he towered over me when I met him. I'd say a large just because of his height alone.

Should keep things interesting. 311's last album was like that, but with a longer track list. Feldy's songs did stick out like no other on that album compared to the others.

Idk if I can see BIOMY taking off like BTD did considering the immediate responses its gotten today. It's crazy theres a chance this song might not be on the final track listing too, but at least it got people's attention and they did something different.

  9. I literally cannot imagine launching a single and a tour and then not putting that song on the album. When has this happened?

    Die rad.

Was this stated by anyone else yet or am I just hearing it wrong? The into sounds just like blinks classic "Man Overboard"
"You're out of line and rarely sober"

I'm 5'11 - 6'0 and wear a Medium comfortably. But i'm not a dad and am also a chronic runner lol. Could've sworn Mark was 6'1"-6'2".

Yeah a few. Definitely hear it as well. Think it's a pretty cool callback kinda

May have missed it said on here but just read some comments on YouTube.
Love this one “this is not blink, it’s Simple Creatures featuring Travis and Matt”

Shows me things never change with reactions, I remember the comments on the reunion songs saying it’s AVA featuring Mark and Travis or this is just a +44 song featuring Tom.

  14. Bad Religion's "The Kids Are Alt-Right" is a recent one that comes to mind.

Carly Rae is putting "Party of One" on the deluxe version, but I feel like I've seen it more with pop artists. The trial ballon single.

Bad Religion just did it. They released two singles before the album announcement and when they announced the album/tracklisting, there was a 3rd single that was released with it and the other two singles were not on the album.

Would seem weird to me them not putting it on the album, they seem proud of it.

But I have no idea how the pop world works these days haha.

  17. Here's some fun comments from that release day:
This band is as much Blink-182 as Plus 44 is Blink 182. Mine as well have just gone under a different name.
My initial reaction was "meh" but on second listen it's an alright song.
Cringeworthy album title and song is mediocre at best...
This coming from a long time blink fan. Sorry, just my opinion.
I thought this song was super cheesy.
i just hate the way the vocals sound. the distorted guitar tone is almost non-existent as well which takes a ton of punch out of the chorus and the cymbals just sound like mush.

overall the whole thing just kinda sounds like what i would describe as shiny soup... all the parts are there i guess, but they all just blend together too much and it hurts the overall appeal of the sound for me.
song is mediocre at best, terrible lyrics, unmemorable melodies, really weird production that makes the vocals sound bad
Sorry, guys, but this song is a massive disappointment.

Why is Matt singing a Tom vocal pattern in the bridge?

Were these vocals written with Tom in mind (in case he ever returns))? I know Matt Skiba's vocals quite well and yet I've never seen a producer try to mask what he really sounds like (until now).

Is Skiba just a placeholder until Tom is done writings songs for a faceless band while paying writers to write books for him?

After all, he made sure to let everybody know that he's still collecting checks from Blink 182.

    Heh.

  18. Very small example but MCS released "Inside Out" as a single and then it didn't appear on an album

“Why is Matt singing a Tom vocal pattern in the bridge” is confusing on many levels.

  20. Man that's wild. I kinda would love for MORE blink music. I can't imagine this not being huge though.

This track better be on the album.

  22. Really really disliked California but I like this song a lot, have listened to it a bunch today. I feel like this song accomplishes a lot of what I thought they shot for and missed on the last cycle. And hell yeah Bleachers vibes

Also lol @ at the dumpster fire comment section on Mark’s IG Wayne tour announcement post. Went to Wayne’s post and literally just all positivity over there. Every comment is just fire emojis

Oh, I totally remember reactions like that to BTD. I was talking about today's reaction to BIOMY though. I've noticed much more negativity around BIOMY than I noticed around BTD when that dropped.

Okay, I really need to stop reading reactions for awhile. Its killing my blink-buzz lol.

Yeah a lot more positivity on Wayne's Youtube upload as well. Likes were near 90% and blink's was barely above 50% blink fans hate fun, who knew
