Star Wars fans are up there for me. And when they cross streams, and you get the shitty Star Wars Blink-182 fan it's like a perfect combo of cringe.

 

This was actually better than what I was going to suggest which was to live stream himself typing out the liner notes for supporters.

 

Mark answered my question “album announcement?” to “forthcoming”

 

Did anyone catch Tom's ig Instagram post a few hours ago thanking fans for supporting the new AVA. He mentions checking out Rebel Girl on spotify and they can also hear the new blink song which he likes and is excited to see the bands revaluation. Also says to check out Mark's other project Simple Creatures.
If its bullshit on his part or not, still cool he atleast acknowledges both bands.

After three listens of this new blink song it bores me. Bored To Death had me amped for California, but this song doesnt get me too excited. But it's only one song and I have huge Hope's this is just one of the tamer ones. It just doesnt separate itself at all from California songs. Like it was a B side from those sessions they left off it and the Delux version. I actually really dig a majority of the album and delux, just would classify this new song with the ones from California that I skip.

The songs scratch different itches for me, I don’t think either was more immediate.

 

Really happy Mark and Tom seem to be on ok terms even if it’s just random IG shout outs. To me being a blink fan for 20 years now nothing is more depressing than watching those Urethra Chronicles DVDs and seeing how close they were and how it was post 2004ish. I still wish the 2nd break up was handled better by everyone but hopefully all 3 are happy with each other and have moved on.

 

As a 'critic' for over 20 years or whatever now I've decided that I don't think there's anything easier to do than come with the hot "this is bad" or "this sucks" take about any art. It's really easy to say not much at all but be negative about it.

I should expand on that at some point, but I've been thinking about it a lot today.

 

Wow. People weren't kidding. The subreddit is absolutely toxic right now.

So true, and I just did it. I just worked for 12 hours and this was the first thing that came to mind. Oh well.

 

Never becoming invested at all in Reddit was the best thing I ever did for my brain.

I then threw that all away by becoming way too into Twitter to poison myself on a regular basis, but still ...

 

Kept asking if the new song is on the album since it’s not finished but no answer

 

We won't know until we know.

 

My guess?

If it doesn't exceptionally well, yes. If it does only ok, probably, if it doesn't take off at all, no.

(I think they'll announce the album soon-ish and it'll be on there.)

Finally listening to this simple creatures ep and yooo its mad good

 

So Mark said the album is half Feldy, half other producers (depending on final selection). The album is currently being mixed and track list isn’t finalized. He also said there are currently no plans to do a deluxe album but he didn’t sound opposed to it. Ummm what else... He said the track with The Chainsmokers is for their album and he hasn’t heard the final version.

 

Decided to revisit Babylon today and man I forgot how much I enjoy that album.

 

It pretty much nails everything I want from Skiba lyrically tbh. I love it

 

I really enjoy Kuts and find myself going back to it more. I need to give Babylon another listen.
