I never want Blink to release the same record twice. Untitled is still my favorite but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the new stuff. That was a different time and era. That was the album tension built.

 

Listened to most of it on my phone at work and I liked what I heard! Gonna give it a full listen cranked up in my car on the way home.

 

That opening riff sounds super familiar but I can't place it...the part that comes in at 7 sec.

 

About to hunker down and really give this song some attention now.

 

Look at the replies on Twitter to Mark's tweet about this song... These people are brutal. Just don't listen to it instead of airing your grievances with band members. Sheesh.

Also lol at one of those replies complaining that the picture led him to believe it would be a fast punk song. Whose problem do you really think that is?

 

The social medias are an awful place.

Imagine being the kinda person that does that ... directly ... I truly can't fathom.

Have thoughts? Write a blog post or a review or something and try and say something. But to @reply someone just weird vitriol? It's ... super weird.

 

Still no promotion from their official channels yet. Hope we get some album info later today.

New favorite comment I saw was about how "Blink are going for top 40 and being played in your local Target" ... I found this hilarious after talking about how we used to literally buy Blink-182 pens and notebooks and posters in Target while their music played over the speakers in 2000 just a few weeks ago.

It irritates me because clearly happy/successful/busy people don't do that... Just do something productive with your time instead of trying to make someone feel bad because you don't like their song that you are not obligated to like.

It's the same melody as the "I remember shots without a chaser, absent minded thoughts..." bit. If they did this on purpose, it's an amazing reference.

 

I feel like they're old and mature enough to not let it bother them. Travis had the right idea with his funny comeback to the Wayne comment on instagram. If I was famous I'd spend all my free time being sarcastic to the haterzzz. Like "OMG Bring back tom!" "Sure thing buddy. Great suggestion! xo".

 

The band clearly sold out with this specific song. Being on notebooks is punk AF

 

Don't find this particularly interesting, Matt sounds nice on it though.

 

I really hope the band read some positive comments as well...

 

Just like people complaining about the tour. Like great, I'm sure Mark will notice you're not there as he's staring out at the sea of thousands of people each night.
