I really want to hear the rest of the album. Give me something all over the place stylistically. Deluxe edition California put such a horrible taste in my mouth. For me it felt like way too much of the same, almost b-side ish.

Listened to it a few times now. It’s okay. Fun summer song, will be cool on radio. Hope there’s some more rock/punk leaning sounds on the record, but I don’t hate this. Indifferent mostly.

 

I was literally listening to Simple Creatures when I saw that this was out and played it immediately after and it felt very different. Simple Creatures is way more in your face, this is really breezy and laid back. Like you can tell writing for that may have had an influence on this, but the end product is way different.

This song still sounds so much like blink to me. It sounds like a 2019 take on S/T, which is to say it's a step forward without a loss of identity. I honestly love it.

 

Brings me back to middle school when all of us that liked Boy Band Blink were called posers by the older skaters that liked Millencolin.

Also I like All Time Low and the new Jonas Bros song too.

In middle school I'd have to keep my love for Blink on the DL to avoid getting made fun of for liking music that wasn't punk. Oh the good old days! (which seem to have never gone away) I can't believe I got called a poser in 2019!

If only these people knew that I've seen Taylor Swift twice, Carly Rae Jepsen twice, Hanson three times, and Lizzo... haha. I've always been as much of a pop guy as a punk guy.

 

People still say posers and sell outs in 2019. Sigh

Maybe it’s just the locals here. They live their best life in the trash at my work.

 

I love the ending to this song when the "Endless Summer Stretching On and On" is kinda floating around in the background behind Matt. No idea how they're gonna pull this song off live but like...i dig this.

I think whoever called it more like...Airy and Breathable than Simple Creatures nailed it.

 

The more I listen to this song, I'd take this over most of California and all of CaliDLX any day.

 

It was kind of neat at first, but when he tagged Tom and pulled up the Angels song, I thought that was pretty awesome.

 

I think I'd put it in the same league as Hey I'm Sorry.

 

I can see that! I always forget about that song, actually.
