Damn was Guppy really two years ago? Didn't even a new album was coming, hype

 

Album Of The Week: Charly Bliss 'Young Enough'

 

Nice! Thought it was gonna be Holly Herndon until they dropped the interview yesterday, then thought it would definitely be Jamila. This album is so good though and I’m glad to see it already getting good press.

 

My record got shipped to my old address even after I forwarded my mail

 

That Stereogum write-up really wants you to know that she has bars

 

The repeated use of the term "bars" in that piece makes me want to rake broken glass across my forehead.

 

That is definitely a Tom Breihan piece.

 

Dude who wrote that seems like he really wants you to know that he is both HIP and also WITH IT

Still excited for the album

 

soundtrack to the summer, title track is amazing

 

I just can’t get over Blown to Bits. This band rules at writing album openers.

the title track is just... never imagined i would hear a five minute charly bliss song, let alone that it would be perfect

 

Not quite sure what I think of this yet, but I think I like it. Definitely not as immediate as the debut.

And the title track I swear is this band's "If I Believe You."

The amount of effort it is taking to get this into iTunes and then onto my phone is literally criminal.

Edit; which i fully understand is hilarious and hypocritical to say when getting it a day early.

 

SAME

 

1) update iTunes
2) update iOS on phone bc it won’t sync
3) restart computer
4) album wouldn’t sync or let me drag and drop, spend 20 min furiously googling because I am so frustrated
5) finally pulled the files into windows media player, which triggered it to sync to iTunes and finally my phone

Whole thing took abt 35 minutes but it was worth it. Also I guess am I’m just bad at technology.

 

AT&T hasn't come to put the Internet in at my new place, so I was trying to do it with a mobile hotspot!

I finally gave up and put my laptop on my nightstand to listen and BURNED A CD to listen to in the car

 

INCREDIBLE. I haven’t burned a CD in 5+ years probably.

Also......this is AOTY for me probably.

 

Too early to know where it stands for me, but Guppy was my AOTY and I have very positive impressions of this so far too!

 

I’m just very dramatic and hyperbolic don’t mind me.

“Blown to Bits” is huge, title track killed me, “Hurt Me” had me in tears. I can’t wait to see them next month!

 

Blown to Bits is insane! They truly leapt forward sonically and this album no doubt feels like a full statement.

I'm seeing them in July! Gonna be so much fun! Do we know tour support yet?
