Super early but....

 

Yeah they played a quarter of their games against 2 of the best teams and the rest of the Indians division was trash. If SOS matters and divisions don't they're in over the Indians

 

Divisions are fun because of the rivalries but they create frustrating results sometimes

A ball hit him and he broke something, right?

 

Yes. Just wondering how long they actually anticipate him to be out for. Looking like he may not play again til August or longer

 

Twins going to hit 12 home runs in the Bronx this weekend

 

As of now, no surgery needed. They're re-examining him in 3-4 weeks to see how it heals. So assuming he doesn't touch a baseball for that amount of time AND likely won't be able to keep up with strengthening/keeping his arm in shape, it'd probably be another month or so for him to rehab following those 3-4 weeks.

I'd be STUNNED if he were back before August. It also wouldn't shock me if 3-4 weeks from now they announce he needs surgery because the Indians are historically awful at handling/managing injuries.

 

I've never liked Anthony Rizzo and dammit I never will

 

Even as a Cards fan, It's hard to root against Rizzo.

 

Nah it's not, it's super easy. He's a fantastic role model (and probably just general human) based on his experience as a cancer survivor, but it's not hard for me to separate that from him on the field

yeah I think skin cancer while he was in the minors, had to get chemo and everything

 

I just googled it. He had Hodgkin's lymphoma. Damn.

 

Yeah pretty crazy. It’s a shame since he was having a rough start to the season too. But yeah I’d be shocked if he’s back anytime before August

My first thought with Rizzo now is how silly it was yelling "respect me" on a pop-up that would get caught most of the time lol
