"The universe is an empty place without you..." - Here come the goosebumps.

Some of my favorite lyrics in blink's whole catalogue. And I don't mean that verse alone. This band can be so good at creating simple, heartfelt metaphors...

Nobody likes you when you're 23

Gave myself a break from the album and the chorus melody of Home is Such a Lonely Place is just stuck in my head. Such a great song

I'll repeat what @Jason Tate said "wish I could slow down time but not enough to slow you down" really sticks out for me aswell

Just read on reddit (yes reddit), how blink ripped off Reel Beg Fish on TOTTM.
I'm pretty sure it's not a rip off but somekind of tribute or shoutout w/e. idk. anyway you can't deny the similarities both musically and lyrically in this part.

They hit even harder retroactively, in the moment Mark sings "Wish I could slow down time / But not enough to slow you down". Nice variation / parallel.

Songs are really catchy and the melodies are great. Some of the lyrics seem a bit disingenuous given the fact that they are 40-45 and Mark is married with kids but the songs sound good for the most part so I guess that's what matters.

  9. There's quite a few little Easter egg like tributes in there if memory serves.

I'm pretty sure the second verse of She's Out... is obviously not Mark's or Matt's voice. I get a mix between Martin Johnson and Feldman :-/ is it just me?

We talk too much / We talk in circles

Goldfinger and RBF are family. Feldmann would pay homage to them in a second.

Jesus Christ every pop punk band rips off every pop punk band because every song is C G F

I was actually wondering the same thing. It doesn't sound like Skiba. But I can't tell for sure. During the "She said let her down let her down" it sounded kinda like Andriano...but the rest doesn't sound like him.

Also I love the intro. Sounds like Mutt.

I'm bummed, I wanted to like this but it just isn't clicking at all for me. I totally understand how this is perfect for some people, but I just don't like it. Damn.

I'll admit I'm not absolutely blown away like I hoped I'd be, but I love most of these songs and they're ALL catchy. A few of these songs legitimately brought me back to the old days which is the most I could have asked for.

I think my main gripe is surprisingly that they switch off vocal duties almost TOO often. I did not expect to feel that way but almost every song has a verse (and sometimes chorus) for each guy. These songs already have so much going on that its almost jarring for me. I do think that a lot of the "middle of the road" songs suffer from having this same formula, as well but I'm sure they'll grow on me.
