Rocket and Nebula seem to have had a lot of data about Thanos' Garden so I'd assume that coupled with Captain Marvels knowledge of planets, could be a viable reason. Nothing will ever officially get out though.

Did Drax get any time fighting Thanos in the final battle? I can't remember.
Of course you can only do so much in one movie- but I felt like Drax was determined to kill him, and he didn't even get a punch in. Of course they all wanted to defeat Thanos, but Drax had a clear motive and mentioned it in a few movies (if I remember correctly.)
Again, minor, and I don't mean to sound like the movie didn't have enough in it, because it clearly did. Just something I've been thinking about.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

Quill's ship is reasonably advanced/upgraded right? I assume they can scan for signs of oxygen on a planet before they land. that or Captain Marvel was like "ayo btw there's oxygen down here I checked dw"

Whether or not humans should be/are able to breathe on other planets is sort of one of those things you just gotta accept with these kind of movies. As long as it's consistent, it's not really a problem IMO

  6. Nah, CGI will be so good by then nobody will even be able to tell. It's already eerie at times.

I still can't fathom not seeing RDJ as Iron Man in future movies. Makes me sadboi

I can live without RDJ. Iron Man 2 and 3 sucked. The only movies worth watching him in over the past few years are Avengers films and there have been plenty of other great Marvel films in between those. I will miss him though

  11. Oh, also: I read the review that started this whole kerfuffle and I'm just gonna say this.

I read it, and understood it perfectly. It was very well written, and had I not been heavily invested in the Marvel universe I may have agreed with it.

However, my takeaway is that I disagree with it in its entirety because it fundamentally misunderstands the MCU fanbase. The entire review is based on the opening premise that each movie exists in a bottle where it's seen, and thrown away by the viewer immediately after. If that was the case, then the way Infinity War played out would've made exactly zero sense. But context matters, and it did exactly what it was supposed to do: create a hopeless display of how all of these characters in tandem weren't enough to beat Thanos. (And the characters don't need introduction because they've been introduced. In some cases, many times.) Ironically, the writer's conclusion - that Infinity War felt like a story only designed to set us up for another film - Endgame - was exactly the point. The difference is he seemed to find it a pejorative instead of a storytelling tool.

But, to each their own. Just wanted to say my issue isn't comprehension. It's a fundamental disagreement with the premise.

We're really gonna do another Iron Man 3 debate, aren't we

I wasn't asking for this argument. I'm talking about him as the character. I'm not talking about the stand alone films.

That's fine, and like I said, I agree with that :) I will miss him.

Was just saying my specific reason for being able to live without him despite missing his character

Yeah I think of all the Avengers and the casting, RDJ as Tony Stark IS Iron man

  17. Iron Man was on TV the day after I saw Endgame and I made my partner turn it off because I'm too fragile

I honestly can't think of anyone in the MCU who was miscast. Their casting department is almost supernaturally good at their jobs. But yeah, RDJ was their earliest and greatest stroke of genius.

A much better question than any of this time travel, aging, etc., talk. (No offense to y'all who have fun talking about it, but dang, I do NOT care even a LITTLE about how it works, lol.)

I think, for what this film was thematically, the original 6 Avengers' stories are in a way more important than anyone else's. But, in picking other players to have roles, I certainly would've liked to see Drax. Honestly, I know Rocket is more marketable, but after Nebula, I think Drax would've been the best to see survive.

Still, more than Drax, I would've liked a moment where our Nebula got to confront Thanos. Like, maybe have her be instrumental in assisting Tony w/ defeating him. Give Tony the big moment & heroic death, of course, & keep Nebula on the board for Guardians 3, but keep her in the middle of the struggle.

I think Endgame is the only "Avengers" movie I like more than Iron Man 3, sorry not sorry.

But, yeah, the sooner he gets out of Spider-Man's way, the better. I would love for Far From Home to end w/ Peter moving on, but I'm sure the Stark shadow will still get in the way of film #3.

I went from hating Nebula in GoTG 1 to really enjoying her character arc in Endgame.

I’ve only seen the end of Iron Man 3, and that was recently, and I was shocked by how cornball that end fight is. Shirtless guy pierce doing flips and shit, I think Pepper is on fire at some point?
