Who says I have to keep a song in MY iTunes library?

I like the record. What more do you want?

Under Thrice's Beggars, I have Red Telephone and Answered worked into the album sequence.

Am I not allowed to do that either?

That's the way it should of been. A 12 track album isn't really pushing it.

I'm definitely an album purist and listen all the way through every time.

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

One of my friends gives things exactly one listen and then takes off the songs he didn't like right away. Like he's literally never given a song a chance to grow on him. Drives me crazy lol.

My heart pumped really fast when I started thinking of a version of All of This with Skiba. Please do that this tour.

Now I Know This World Isn’t Spinning Just For Me Prestigious

I have a friend that does this too and it drives me insane. His idea is that if it isn't good enough to grab him first go it isn't good. I'm just internally like "Aaarrrggghhhh"

I've listened to Rabbit Hole and No Future enough times to know I want no part of them in future listens. Rabbit Hole is like nails on a chalkboard. I don't enjoy having to do this; every song from a band I love should have one redeeming quality. No Future has an intro and bridge that are tolerable so maybe I'll just give it a long nap. But Rabbit Hole is never coming back into my life.

It took me a while to realize this, but does anyone get a little bit of that pop-country vibe from the NA NA sequences on sober? Not in a bad way. I actually love the way it plays into the song. Possibly my favorite.

Still on this side of the grass

I don't really get it either. Other than some of Travis' flourishes and Mark's voice this doesn't even sound like blink to me. There are some cool songs but there are more songs on Neighborhoods I'd rather listen to. It just sounds like they're targeting high schoolers...on purpose.

That's the craziest thing I've heard in a while.

So i jacked up my iTunes library by accident and Brohemian faded into anthem part II. May be the best fade I've ever heard in my life.

I have to say that I'm impressed w/ the general consensus here! I may end up listening to "Cynical" 10 times thru before starting the rest. Song rips. Matt is so good. If some people on Reddit are still negative about his presence after what I'm hearing everyone say in here (and after hearing "Cynical"), then they can't be coaxed due to severe brain injuries since birth.

I tend to view albums as cohesive pieces put together by an artist in that form for a reason, so I listen to them through for awhile and never make alterations (though I do sometimes listen to single songs or occasionally I'll skip a song I don't like or whatever). This album might be a first, just because "Built This Pool" specifically is such a buzzkill. I'll probably take it and "Brohemian" off just because they bum me out.

  22. Haha. Me too. Not only would that destroy my feeling of completeness, and experiencing the album, but it's easy to hit the skip button if needed. And by leaving the songs I may not like it allows me to see if something grows on me or changes with time and mood or perspective. I always wanna give things that chance. No matter what. But I'm not above hitting that skip media key.

I think Matt is serving a purpose here, but I definitely prefer his Trio and solo stuff to this (I listened to the album once and deleted it.) personally, I think I like My Shame more than I'll like this.
