Being British I find it weird that your crowds all cheer and whoop during films. We all just sit quietly, enjoy the film and glare at people that make noises haha.

Yep, that's what happened at my showing lol.

I was at a midnight showing and there were a few people sounding like they wanted to cheer and clap, but you could tell their overwhelming Britishness stopped them haha.

I have to admit that I was tempted to clap at a few moments, so I just slapped my leg in excitement instead!

It pretty much only happens for Avengers and Star Wars. They are like this big events that transcend film.

I can’t remember who cheered when last night....I know the biggest cheers we’re definitely when Dr. Strange’s portals opened up.
There were also some cheers at the Lady Avengers scene.
I feel like there was at least one or two more but can’t remember off the top of my head
There was a lot of gasping/oooooo when Cap had the hammer for the first time.
And I heard a few people start to cry during Tony’s last moments. I was able to hold it in but it was hard lol

That’s definitely not true lol. Us, DC movies, Pixar stuff, people will literally clap at anything.

Doesn’t bug me, but I wish it didn’t happen because with these movies you definitely miss some dialogue because of it.

When Cap picked up Mjolnir the woman behind me shouted “fuck him up Cap” that got a laugh

I’d be totally fine if they didn’t make another marvel movie and they just left it as the infinity saga

Now I Know This World Isn’t Spinning Just For Me Prestigious

I was just talking to a friend and he brought up a point. Silly and not at all important to think about but it’s kind of like a “huh..” thing.

Think how weird it is for normal humans now. Let’s say someone’s wife was vanished in the snap. He grieves, moves on, meets someone else, and then gets remarried. Now Endgame happens and bam his wife is back, and to her no time had passed. That has got to be insanely awkward, confusing, and traumatizing for them all.

Yeah this is something I’m endlessly curious about but I have a feeling the Marvel films won’t really delve into. It’d be a shame if they didn’t because the entire thing would be a logistical nightmare. Maybe it’ll be the driving force behind one of the new villains in an upcoming solo film. If so, it’d be another “vulture was right” kind of things.

Yeah I’ve seen people clap at one or two “normal” movies but I can’t think of the top of my head right now what they were. I’m not a clapper or a cheerer but if you gotta do it, can’t you at least wait til it’s over?

    Assume It's A Bit

I kinda wish they talked more about the ethical concerns of whether they should turn back time or not. Granted, the movie was already 3 hours long so anymore would be pushing it, but it kinda feels like the only consideration was "Tony has a daughter now, that's that".

we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

Went to the 10am showing yesterday morning and haven't been trying to digest my thoughts ever since. Here are some random comments and questions I have:

    - After I saw Thor behead Thanos, I was expecting a high death count by the end. That was shocking. I'm sure Thanos telling Thor he should have aimed for the head has been haunting ever since.
    - Thought Captain Marvel was going to be featured throughout the film and be a centerpiece. Turns out, you don't even need to see Captain Marvel before see this. Her power in Endgame seems to pale in comparison to her own flick.
    - Are we supposed to know where Loki went when disappearing with the Tesseract? I thought the Avengers were able to - manage the time travel where it would not have an impact on the future/present. Don't even want to start thinking about how there could be two
    - Also did Thanos seem even more powerful and stronger in this film than Infinity War? He was able to more than hold his own against the strongest Avengers at the end...without even wearing the Infinity Gauntlet for most of it.
    - I don't like how the Hawkeye/Black Widow situation played out at all. Black Widow just sacrificed herself before Hawkeye could sacrifice himself. I knew it wasn't going to happen, but it felt a little tacky and couldn't help but to think "what if they both die trying to sacrifice themselves here"
    - Captain America using Mjolnir was so badass.
    - Thor dual wielding Stormbreaker and Mjolnir.
    - Did Iron Man just switch gloves with Thanos at the end real quick, or was his glove also compatible of housing the stones?
    - For some reason I kept thinking Thor is going to walk into a closet somewhere and step out looking like (he did in IW) i a snap - you know, kind of like Ron Burgundy.
    - Seeing Valkyrie, Korg, and Miek again was so great. But did we ever get an explanation of why or how they weren't on the ship at the end of Ragnarok/beginning of Infinity War?
    - Did it surprise others that five years after The Snap that America still wasn't really functioning?
    - That did not feel like a three hour movie at all. My wife checked her watch and remember seeing it had been on for two and a half hours already and got sad. Was wanting more.

I really did love this movie and could see it being my favorite Marvel flick. I obviously need to watch it a whole bunch more because I'm sure I missed out on a bunch of little stuff. But still just so impressed by the magnitude and scope of everything that went into a project that massive. Very well executed on all fronts.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

Thor mentions in Infinity War that Thanos only killed half of Asgard and let the rest go, as he usually does. I guess they were just on a ship that got away although I really cannot see Valkyrie running away from any fight that like that - kinda bothers me tbh

  22. iCarly Rae Jepsen

    run away with me Platinum

I think just the Butterfly effect although Cap arguably fucked that up
undoing the Thanos snap somehow wasn't the Butterfly effect because they just undid it but they didn't technically fuck with history I guess

They would have to bring the past Tony and Natasha to the present and therefore leaving the past without them. So bringing them to the present would not be wise.
