If Captain Marvel had managed to get the gauntlet from Thanos, I wonder how much damage it would have done to her if she was the one that did the snap.

Without this scene we'd have no Korg or Miek, I'll keep it.

Avengers Assemble was the “for Frodo” moment of the MCU.

I had a blast seeing this and it was completely satisfying as an ending to this era of the MCU. My ears are still ringing from just how loudly my theatre cheered at Cap saying “AVENGERS.....assemble!”. There’s only been two times I’ve ever stood up due to sheer excitement in a movie theatre and Tony saying “I am Iron Man” is one of them.

Also two funny little things I caught: Hope calling Steve “Cap” followed by her and Scott smiling at each other after she ribbed him for it in AMaTW

T’challa remembers that Hawkeyes name is Clint and calls him such during the final battle despite saying he didn’t care in Civil War

I can’t wait to see this at least two more times

Edit: oh another one I just remembered is when Spider-Man is getting dog piled Cap says “hey Queens, heads up” and throws mjolnir to save him

One of my favorite parts was when Rey backflipped over the Tie Fighter.

My point is it could’ve been any multiplayer video game. :)

  11. My understanding is the opposite. Our Steve will remember fighting himself because he experienced it. 2012 Steve won't remember it because after the stone gets returned by our Steve, all those events that followed the stone heist never happened. The "split timeline" gets erased and everything goes back to normal, as the Ancient One explains it.

What happened to Katherine Langford's role in this movie? Completely cut?

Nebula showing the Pym particle to Thanos doesn't make up for Thanos and his 12 armies not having Quantum suits, which the Pym particle is made for.

Well, I meant our Steve didn’t fight himself in his 2012.

I dunno. I think the Ancient One was talking about her reality being saved, not getting erased if the stone was put back. So, if they don’t return the stones, that reality will dissolve to chaos. But what we saw still happened. So the 2012 Steve we see should still remember that fight. Our Steve 2023 or whatever didn’t fight himself when he was in his own 2012.

    I think?

It’s clear there are multiple realities/timelines as Thanos from 2014 gets Dusted and Nebula dies and it does not impact our timeline/reality.

Which is why I am curious where Cap got the shield from for Sam.

One person said she may have been one of Frigga’s maidens she had with her. But not confirmed by any means. I don’t even know who she is. So I wasn’t looking for her.

Maybe, they had a scene with an older Morgan Stark or Barton daughter.

  19. Stealing the stones creates a timeline in which those stones are gone. Returning them to the proper time means they never got stolen and those created timelines get erased, which saves reality. Since they never get stolen, 2012 Cap never has to fight ours, Loki never escapes after that stuff in the lobby, etc. That's how I saw it.

I'm a little more muddy about how 2014 Thanos getting dusted factors into it all. I'm sure the time travel logic just crumbles if you think about it long enough.

I figured Cap could've gotten another shield made from Wakanda at some point. Idk really

ScarJo’s “Let me go” and Thor’s “I knew it!” are delivered so perfectly. Tom Holland really delivers emotion well too.

Ignoring how everything affects timelines, still don’t understand how Cap ended up in the 40s with Peggy if he was returning the stones to 1970 and 2012.

I must now go to the source Supporter

Is it that he had enough Pym particles for his trip back from returning the stones but instead of going home he just went to the 40s instead? It’s kind of fuzzy.

As far as Nebula being able to kill herself from the past, I’m thinking it’s because the past Nebula created a divergent timeline from our Nebula by jumping to our present so past Nebula in this film is no longer our Nebula so our Nebula can kill her without consequence? Same with past Thanos I guess. He diverges from the original timeline so he’s no longer our Thanos so he can get dusted. When Steve returns the stones, our Thanos is thus unaware of anything happening and continues on as regularly scheduled.

    It’s fuzzy.

Actually, this works for me plus deciding to use the last particle to go to the 40s after returning all the stones.

“If you were initially thrown off by seeing an older Captain America at the film's end, in 2023, you shouldn't be. Yes, Cap was injected with the super serum, but he didn't age because he was put on ice and frozen in 1945. Nick Fury tells him in "Captain America: The First Avenger" that he's been out for about 70 years.

Cap went back to 1970 to be with Peggy and got older over the following 53 years.

This may have thrown some people off because in the comics Captain America doesn't usually age because of the super serum. He did get older when he had it sucked out of him at one point by a villain.

Even if the super serum was slowing down Cap's ability to age, he probably could've asked someone, like Howard Stark, to whip up something to allow him to grow old with the love of his life.”

I haven't heard anyone surprised that Cap would age? The problem people have with it is that him staying back then should have created a separate timeline, so Cap shouldn't be able to just reappear in this timeline through natural aging, unless he used the time travel device one last time as an old man to bring him back. And even that doesn't make sense because he didn't come back on the time travel pad, Hulk and everyone were watching it.
