a lot of slop for their biggest need. And at that point they're basically assets

  2. Assets that no one will probably want. The trade package by itself looks nice but it doesn't match up with what Boston wanted. They didn't need picks. Especially more late picks in an awful draft. Noel does fit a need but sometimes patience is better than taking what's in front of you. They have plenty of money to address that position. No need to add a bunch of bad assets if there's a guy you like at 3.

There was another report that the Celtics would have given up 16 as well

Also Covington is a valuable asset, under contract for basically nothing for two years and he'll be a better two way player then most rookies will

  5. And even with agreeing with Boston about turning down that trade, I think they had a terrible draft anyways.

  13. I'm still mad about that ugly ass trade yesterday. I know this draft sucked but Marco Belinelli? So gross.

Just hoping there's a few follow up moves that'll make this trade make sense.

  15. I'm hearing a lot more negativity regarding the Thunder's trade than I expected. Am I just too high of Oladipo? I feel like he's the piece they've been needing. Another scoring threat. Ibaka has grown a little stale and Adams has shown he can be the defensive force downlow.

I really like a starting lineup of:

    Westbrook - Oladipo - Roberson - Durant - Adams

That looks like a lot of scoring and a really good defensive team.

People are right to be down on the Oladipo trade, so long as they're Magic fans. We got fleeced, and unless Vogel has plans for Ibaka at the 5--which requires our best player being off the court--the trade will cut into AG's minutes at the 4 - essentially the exact opposite of what you want, given the current league trends.

On another note, Houston grabbing Payton II, Wiltjer, and Taylor is one of the better UDFA hauls I've seen. Not sure what some of these teams in Round 2 were thinking passing on Payton.

OKC definitely got away with robbery on that trade, but I don't know that it moves the needle much, if at all for them. Is Oladipo going to be what pushes them into the finals?

  18. I think he can. A problem I saw with them was the lack of a scoring threat outside of Westbrook and Durant. While those two are obviously elite scorers, they often fell into that "hero ball" game because the guys around them were so inconsistent offensively. Roberson literally just stood in the corner. Ibaka was good for a couple 3s but not much else. Now they have someone else to rely on for scoring. I think he'll make a big difference for their offense and I don't see their defense dropping off at all from losing Ibaka. Durant was good defensively when playing at the 4. Roberson is 6'7" and can easily slide to SF. Oladipo might be a little small but he's pretty fast and is a good defender.

The key is obviously keeping Durant. And if I'm him I like this trade.

Oladipo is just an ordinary version of Westbrook, hes a ball dominant two guard who isn't great at shooting but slashes really well.

I think you couldve gotten more for him, there was rumors he might be traded last year... #hennigansucks

Dude makes some terrible trades, he's going to get booted if the magic are in the lottery again

Yeah, I'd be shocked if Durant leaves at this point.

  21. Soooo the Wizards are apparently going to offer Noah a 4 year max deal.

    Good lord.

After getting torched by Klay Thompson OKC went out and got a two guard who plays good defense.

So the wiz are trading gortat? I saw an interesting Washington Denver trade idea for gortat before the draft, free agency fun!
