I do steak medium at restaurants because if I do medium rare it will just end up being rare 90% of the time

 

Burgers can be done medium rare to medium well and still be good but yeah with steak I just can't accept anything but medium rare

My parents ordered me medium well everything growing up, and always overcooked grilled burgers/steak as well. It wasn't until I was old enough to order for myself that I saw the light.

I was talking to my dad about this yesterday and he said that he used to always order medium rare and gradually went to medium and then to medium well, and as a result when I was a kid I had medium well and went in the opposite direction

 

Also now I know the best way to prepare steak is in the cast-iron skillet and the best way to prepare burgers is on a flat top so I don't even really have to much use for a grill in terms of those things to be honest.
