I wish Mark had his +44 style lyrics. These are nice songs that don't seem to have meaning really.

 

This is something I agree with. Mark's lyrics on the +44 album are the best of his entire career.

 

I am not listening until the album drops lol. My one friend says its trash, but then again he said RH was trash and I love that song. So we shall see lol

 

it's not trash. it's probably better than "rabbit hole." maybe equal to.

Whoever has been doing their lyric videos needs to stop doing them immediately. Seriously so bad.

Yes, but they are done extremely poorly. Especially this one with the ridiculous zooming in and out camera effect.

I've never understood the complaints about these lyric videos. It's like saying "That was a damn good meal...except for the shitty design on the plate they served it on."

 

I mean it's literally just to get the song on Youtube. I've seen worse and I've seen better. It's a waste to put more effort into a lyric video then they've done here. Rather this than just the lyrics scrolling. So not worth complaining about to me but eh.

 

Yeah, the lyrics are probably the weakest of any members career so far. I was worried after hearing that mark didn't spend a lot of time on them.. A lot of them sound repetitive.. He's traded the whole "she said" for lyrics containing the word life

Honestly this song didn't do much for me on first listen, but I'm also more of a song in the context of a full album sort of guy so I'll have to see when we have the full thing. The chorus sounded very 5 Seconds of Summer to me personally and wasn't a huge fan of the chopped syllables going on either. I did really dig Matt's vocals on the verse though, could actually hear his inflections that reminded me of Good Mourning & Crimson era Skiba.

 

Ok I'm breaking, listening when fiancé comes home from work in like 5 minutes lol
