This just goes back to the "they get paid the same as the servers therefore rely on tips thing". Which SUCKS and the business should not fucking do that.

This is always the argument I hear about people not wanting to tip and what you're not realizing is it REALLY adds up with high customer volume. There are times that To Go people have 60 orders they're trying to put together all at once in an hour lol. So not getting tipped by 50 of those people is fucking bullshit. Take it from someone in the industry, sometimes they work harder than the servers.

 

Man, wild to think about how different things were in 2009. The kids still liked scenecore.

 

Yeah I hated working to-go. But I got karma when I worked at the Carrabba's in Charlotte because those guys did not care at ALL. I got handed comp cards and told to keep the cash by one of the managers. Dude hooked me up. Restaurant got shut the fuck down after two months.

To be clear, I tipped. Also, she was a server as well. But I’m just saying, I’m a manager at a theater and deal with people constantly. 60 orders sounds laughable to me. I’m dealing with literally thousands of people a day and I don’t get tipped for helping them out. I am for tips when I eat in, I just don’t like that I feel pressured to tip when I order food for takeout. But I do it cause I feel like a douche lol. But I don’t think I should have to
