What, how? Rose peaked half a decade ago. Even if by some miracle he comes back at an alright level, he'll be starting the season two years from 30, not having played a full season in five years. Even if he were healthy, his prime would be almost gone. It's borderline impossible to think he'll have any real impact on an NBA team at this point.

 

What does Lopez offer that Noah or Howard can't? He had a good contract and was productive in his minutes but we can replace his production in FA

Finding a penetrating PG that has experience leading a team is much harder to find. And I think Justin Holiday is a valuable player too. That's how I look at it anyways

 

I just don't see what value Rose has, whatsover, that you couldn't find in literally any starting PG in the NBA.

Are you saying it's a net positive to pay him $20 million for the one year he'll be there for locker room presence?
