Read that some singer had her whole career canceled because she was caught doing MDMA. Japan is just very strict on drugs.

With all due respect, I don’t know if that makes Japan super shitty. As far as I’m aware, they’ve always had a zero tolerance on drugs. That’s just a part of life there. Knowingly bringing weed to a country with zero tolerance sounds like maybe not the smartest thing to do. Even if you didn’t know, who brings weed abroad without getting caught in the process anyway?

I’d argue that it’s a lot shittier to keep prisoners with life sentences for marijuana possession detained when a decent segment of the country has legalised it.

 

So Sekiro, I'm leaning towards getting that. I've missed a Dark Souls/Bloodborne type game.

Ruining someone's life over drugs is always bad, culture isn't an excuse. If you constantly give a country and pass because it's "their culture" then you'll never see progress

 

I’m not saying ruining their life is a good thing at all. I’m just playing devil’s advocate. People shouldn’t expect to just turn up to foreign countries and smoke weed is my logic.

 

I was referencing the claim that someone turned up with weed and got banned from the country. A foreigner. Nothing to do with the news story or defending the game being pulled.
