also he was very very bad at landmark last year

 

i dont think ive listened to a new wale project in four/five years

 

i dont really care for him but the tape is excellent

 

Wale was one of my favorite artists in the game for a while. Fell off hard on that debut, I'll give it a go

 

I'm a big Wale defender, but stuff like the Gifted I just try to forget exist

I'll check the tape

 

He's got talent and flow, but I've never been able to get into a Wale album.

 

Already not feelin it, man I just want Wale to be great instead of fine

 

I didn't hate his last album, but then I only played it once and it's been over a year

 

Does Ryan Lewis do production for anyone other than Macklemore? There plenty of production on the latest album of theirs that I think is pretty great, but Macklemore out-Macklemore's himself on it

 

Back in 2008ish, he did an instrumental album and an album with rapper Symmetry. Though, it's his older stuff, so it's probably not as polished as his recent work. I haven't listened to any of it.

That's pretty interesting, I mean do whatever you want for sure. I just know if I was him I'd be hitting up my favorite artists hah

 

I'd be into a solo album from him with a bunch of features, keep the album crafting aspect together but bring in some more voices.

 

I've wondered this about 40. I'm only familiar with his work with drake. Does he work with others a lot?

 

40 will do engineering work for other artists typically when its a song featuring drake but he pretty much keeps his beats with drake, same deal as ryan lewis, likes crafting full projects

 

Harry Fraud likes to do the same thing I remember. Wonder what he's been up to lately

I've known about Wale for a long time since he went to high school about 30 minutes away from me. Still don't think he's ever topped More About Nothing
