that team is years away from competing in their own division let alone the NFC and having a 2nd year mediocre at best QB (or a rookie QB) throwing the ball, a bad o-line and a first year NFL head coach trying to corral AB when his temper flairs up isn't going to go well at all.

I don’t hate the franchise tag as a “we want to see if you can bounce back next year” thing, but it really sucks as a “we want to use you next year and that’s it” thing.

 

I just think it sucks that a team can say we are forcing you to play for us.

 

I’m more fascinated by the agents name tbh.

yep, this is what i would do 100%.

i get that from the team / fan perspective it may look like i don't have my heart 100% in the city / team i'm playing for, but whatever. for me personally, it would be seeing what else is out there and what other teams value me at. unless i was on a team that won a couple Super Bowls or i felt really confident in, i would always let my contract run out and at least test the market and see what teams have to say and show me.
