That stops the Pumpkins rumors early this year.

That Ben Folds/Violent Femmes tour skips over Chicago, but seems to hit most other spots.

EDIT: Same goes for that Stray Cats 40th anniversary tour.

I know the Bikini Kill reunion is a big deal, but I doubt they’d be a headliner

I'm actually surprised I got this one right.

I could see Ben Folds playing and Violent Femmes coming back. Or maybe Ben Foods isn't coming.

The Strokes got announced for Ohana Fest here in CA late September. If they’re releasing new music this year, I bet Lolla gets them. If they don’t release new music this, I bet Riot gets them

See my comments about Bikini Kill. Not convinced they're a headliner, unfortunately...

It wouldn't be Slayer's final show (because there's two European dates in October) but this would make sense for their final North American show.

It's a very big deal to a relatively small group of people. I would say they're more of a subheadliner.

I'm on the fence about Ben. But I could definitely see the Violent Femmes in there about 3/4 of the way up the poster.

This is a very good prediction.

I feel like the Bauhaus tour makes them less likely to be a headliner now. Maybe still on the lineup, but it’s not as much of a get at this point.

    Whatever. Forever.

I saw Ben Folds with my city's symphony orchestra in the fall. Was a really good show, he's a great musician. Maybe not the most riot festy of acts but he's a damn good musician.

I agree regarding Bikini Kill but a friend of mine brought up Jawbreaker and that's a valid argument for BK being a reunion headliner. They have played one show only since they broke up in 1997.

Bauhaus should be given up on by now because Murphy is a hot mess. Slayer is nothing but a shot in the dark by me. Nothing more!

I'm simply guessing that in 2019 they go super safe(ish) with the top three after last year. If they got BK, just put them up top.

Well, The National will have a new album this summer so...

Scratch that, 6/28 at Northerly Island.

The key difference between Jawbreaker and Bikini Kill is the exclusivity factor. At the time of their announcement it was Jawbreaker's first show back (with no other shows on the horizon). Bikini Kill has large venue shows in CA and NYC that are all very sold out... But I'm not really too sure what the bands actual draw would be if they announced a full US tour today.

    So I dunno.

I hope they give up the Bauhaus idea though.

That tour hits Chicago in late June or early July, I think.

Also, I really feel The Strokes are a better fit at Riot Fest. Lolla is so geared now for under 24 that I don't think they fit as well anymore versus 5-10 years ago.

They will always have a rock headliner going against a contemporary headliner, though, so The Strokes fit that billing.

The Strokes are in that "legacy act everybody knows/will sit and watch if there's nothing better going on just so they can tick 'em off the checklist of bands they can say they've seen" category. I'm banking on Lolla.

Did anybody watch the Voidz last year? If they went over well and Julian seemed to be having a blast... I think that could increase chances some.

The Voidz are legit. I wouldn't be surprised to see both play Lolla this year like how both are playing Gov Ball.

If you ask me, a Death Cab > Strokes closeout on a stage at Lolla sounds pretty solid.

Good point about both acts playing. The Strokes/Death Cab closing out a stage definitely sounds solid (and viable) at Lolla.

That weekend cannot possibly get any busier for me.

JEW/3EB > The National > Bon Iver > Maybe Hop Along.
