Also, dare I put Hurley as my least favorite? Unspoken is really the only song I ever return to (classic Weezer). There's nothing outrageously bad on Hurley but there's not too much at all that is redeeming.

I at least go back to several songs on Raditude (If You're Wondering, Put Me Back Together, Don't Want to Let You Go and yes, even Can't Stop Partying - guilty pleasure).

I don’t agree with this mentality. Weezer in particular is a weird band to say this about considering how hit or miss they are. When I didn’t like any albums they put out in the 2000s, does that mean Weezer isn’t for me even if I loved their first 2 + everything from EWBAITE on?

If You’re Wondering is on Raditude? That’s better than anything on here so I guess this is the worst Weezer album, damn

I wasn't quoting you...I was referring to @OhTheWater who has spent the last six pages telling us how he hasn't liked Weezer for 17 years. So yes, it's fair to say that Weezer isn't for him despite liking their early output. Hell, I grew up with Pearl Jam releasing Ten, Vs., Vitalogy - albums that I absolutely loved - but never got into anything from them ever again. If someone told me 'hey, Pearl Jam isn't for you' I'd now agree with them. They aren't. They WERE for me...back in the early 90s.

Also, if you like everything from EWBAITE and on then it sounds like Weezer still are for you.

Surprised people are saying this is better than PD. Weekend Woman and QB Blitz alone are better than everything on this album combined.

The thing with Black and Pacific Daydream is that the low points are just bland or forgettable. Which sadly is not the floor for bad Weezer songs. I can have the worst songs from these two albums on in the background and not be phased, but songs like Automatic, Love is the Answer, Everybody Get Dangerous, I'm a Robot and Smart Girls are so terrible that it's insulting to listen to.

  11. it's a corn ball song - it's catchy and the video is iconic but if that song showed up on any of their recent stuff people will be like eh haha

  12. Weezer is the perfect example of either you die a hero or live long enough to become the villain haha

The first two songs are absolutely in the latter category

Wildly disagree. Once again, I like songs off albums and White as a whole. Weezer, when they’re good, is absolutely for me

The band, as a whole, I enjoy. They’ve put out one of my favorite albums ever and 3 others that were highly influential to my life. They just fell off

This is pretty terrible. The Prince is an alright song, as are High As A Kite and If I Were Being Honest.

    Edit: Byzantine is also fine

  20. For me, their discogrpahy isn't really split into top and bottom halves so much as it is their three worst albums (2007 - 2011) and everything else is varying degrees of good to great.

Okay, I think California Snow is easily the best thing on here.

Buddy Holly is cornball for sure but it's good cornball in the best possible way.

Wow I didn't realize Weezer never had a number 1 album. Make Believe peaked at #2, Maladroit at #3, and Green & White at #4.

I actually agree with the buddy holly take, it’s a good song but if I were gonna skip a song on blue it’s that one. Maybe I’ve heard it too much involuntarily

I get why “no one else” is hard to listen to because of the lyrics, I think they’re supposed to be tongue in cheek but I still understand how that doesn’t make them less off-putting.

Hurley is dog shit boring. That’s it’s main offense.
