My parents were never strick about music and I don't know anyone who had parents that were tbh

 

My mom maybe somewhat supervised my video game purchases until I was maybe 13, with music she never cared though

As far as age labels etc. go, the Netherlands is a different place. South Park was like labeled for ages 6 and up when I was young, haha.

By the time I was 12 my parents were like whatever with video games because my brother was 14 and figured I’d just play everything he played anyway. But like I said I was doing that for years prior anyway

 

The Garden Warfare games are awesome.

There was only one kid in my class that wasn't allowed to play GTA 4 I think British parents just don't give a shit

haha absolutely. I was able to finally get Turok on N64 because "look mom, they're dinosaurs!"

 

Must have played Vice City when I was about 6 or 7, and I played a ton of San Andreas when that came out. Also played Timesplitters: FP and Red Faction with my brother around the same timeframe too

 

it’s one of those underrated series that was actually fair good at rewarding and also free DLC.

It’s crazy that they are still doing updates to it.

 

I never got into GTA until San Andreas, and I think I vaguely recall convincing one or both of my parents that this "wasn't one of the bad ones" when I got them to get it for me lol. Also helped that the game came out literally on my 14th birthday, so it was the gift I wanted.

music was also a thing in my house. I vividly remember my mom reading OUT LOUD the lyrics to the real slim shady I printed out and me wanting to run away. definitely didn't know what it all meant but I knew it was bad.

 

I have very fond memories of going to my friend’s house to play Vice City and Doom 3. Good times

 

I was introduced to halo at my friends house in 4th grade and it actually made me trade in my gamecub for an Xbox

 

My mom would give me shit even if the music sounded abrasive, regardless of lyrical content. She probably would still to this day lol

 

I had a GameCube and PS2 so I never played through Halo until much later but my cousin had an OG Xbox and I played it a bit at his house back in the day. I wasn't a first-person shooter fan at the time, really, so I wasn't into it, which is funny to think about today considering how many shooters I play/love.

Original Modern Warfare single handedly made me leave college after not going to class and playing that all day stoned. Good timez.

 

Free MW Remastered is great. Also Hollow Knight is half off so maybe I should finally play it, huh

 

I may pay up for Plus again just to play COD. I cut myself to just Xbox Live since I rarely play multiplayer games on PS4.
