Very, very quick turn around on that one haha. Amazing how the world, or more specifically, the world of social media changes things nowadays. Your entire career is put into an online blender the second you do something this stupid.

Love when parents complain on live tv that their children are playing games they aren’t legally old enough to play. The irony in that. It’s that or fear-mongering about microtransactions and their credit card bill...don’t put your credit card details on your child’s account. Simple enough really.

Love Apex Legends. Easily sunk 20-25 hours into it. I can see the addictive aspect, but that’s the same with all games - I’m not sure why parents try to come across like they’re helpless and the games are at fault. Limit their time on games if it’s a concern.

Growing up, I was allowed half an hour (!) a day on the PS2. My brother and I would take turns. If we wanted more time, we’d play a game together for an hour - on Timesplitters 2 for example. Once time was up, that was it. If I acted like a turd, I wasn’t allowed on all day. And to this day, I cannot imagine my parents calling me down for dinner and ignoring that...

Exactly. I migh have some problems (not an aggressive, belligerent little shit though haha), but it wasn’t TV or games that did it lmao

Sounds like something an aggressive, belligerent little shit would say. Take them down, boys!

Haha in all seriousness though, this scapegoat culture is just insane to me. Always comes across like parents are passing the blame for their kid’s poor behaviour, despite handing them an iPad at 7 years old and hoping that’ll shut them up for the night. I take the piss out of my parents a lot, but they absolutely wouldn’t have let any of that shit fly when I was a kid.

Quickly people! Burn the books on medieval torture and throwing people to the lions! They’re onto us!

I was thinking about this while watching the new Ted Bundy documentary on Netflix. The way viewing rooms were implemented into death row facilities, so you could watch the offenders die. Nothing morbid about that at all.

Haha see, I get that in this day and age, there’s PLENTY more distractions and devices available, but I still don’t think it’s excusable for parents to act shocked when their kids are unresponsive after letting them spend hours on end staring at them every day.

I remember when I could finally afford an iPod Touch. I got it, and what did my mum do? At night she would turn the WiFi off to stop me using it all night, and better still, she’d even make me put the iPod on the landing outside my bedroom. I sometimes tried to sneak out of my room and get it, but she has ears up her arse, I swear.

Tell me about it though - I make a point of turning my phone off at around 10pm, otherwise I’d be staring at it half the night. I make sure I keep it in my pocket whenever I’m with friends/family too. Can’t stand visiting my 17 year old cousin. She spends the entire time blanking everyone and taking selfies.

Australia has some weird opinions on games anyway. Their restrictions and such are ridiculous.
