Duke is still the best team in the country idc what anyone says. They lost their best player and the best player in the country 30 seconds in. there goes the mindset of duke that they are going to dominate. they lost energy and momentum and everything went to unc. That injury dose not happen it’s a totally different game with a totally different outcome unc got a lucky w and shouldn’t have celebrated like they did in the locker room after. The team didn’t win shit and got a lucky win so please shut the fuck up saying duke isn’t good or they don’t deserve the number one in the country cuz They do

Duke has been with Nike since the early 1990s, at least. Shit like this happens, and to literally every brand. I had a pair of Air Maxes pop on me in a college game, and I wasn't even in the same stratosphere as Zion in terms of how much impact I was putting on my gear. Had a pair of adidas shoes literally rip open from the back towards the end of a high school season. Christ, a pair of Iversons I had developed a hole near my big toe after a summer of basketball camps in MIDDLE SCHOOL. Everyone's experienced it. It's actually more amazing that it doesn't happen more frequently with how much demand these athletes put on their shoes. And like someone mentioned above, there's a reason why nearly every professional athlete in every single sport brings out a new pair of shoes for every single game.

  3. The ncaa is in trouble and don’t know it.

  5. Zion and really the trainers at Duke should be equipping him with the right style shoe for his size

  6. If I were him, I wouldn’t play again this year and risk it.

    Get the bag young buck.

But he seems like the type of guy that doesn’t want to let his teammates and coaches down.

He's actually played in the 16's at points this season, as well as both the Kyrie 4 and 5, and the Adapt BB. He seems to return to the PG's a lot, so maybe those are/were his favorite to play in? It'll be funny if he ends up signing with a different company next year.

Lurking AP since 2005. Lurking Chorus since 2016.

First time in this thread, but damn. What a disappointment. I wouldn't blame Zion if he sat, but honestly I don't think he will. He's got too much heart. The team is so close that the injury really ruined the momentum for them. It was a bummer to see, but it was just a repeat of the Jones injury. I know K will have a plan in place for Syracuse. Hoping Zi is back in time for @UNC.

I don't think he'll sit either. He's said that he would've chosen to go to college for a year even if players could enter the draft out of high school.

This is tragic all around. 690 is definitely not a stretch where you want to be getting in and out of your car late at night, but that's also probably a pretty normal reaction after just getting in a crash.

Nike has marked the PG 2.5 down ever so slightly on their site. I hadn't looked at it in a while, so I'm not sure if the markdowns are new today (and possibly attributable to Zion), or just under a bigger magnifying glass. It could also be because of the PG 3, and not at all related to other stuff, too.

The tournament without Zion makes it really wide open in my opinion I was ready to take Duke to the final 4 and finals in every bracket no matter what but now...no clue.
