I'm wondering myself, but you have to think that without Bryce they're pretty bad--Atlanta looks primed to repeat in the East, DC will be a factor with or without Bryce, and the Mets could be dangerous. Both WC teams could very well come out of the Central, and then there's whoever loses the Dodgers/Rockies showdown to think about too.

Probably better chances with Bryce obv but still a tough tough road

I could honestly put money down on the NLWC teams both being from Central, that division is gonna be a literal bloodbath.

No way the White Sox will get Harper.

 

I honestly think decent either way - if harper didnt sign id still worry about them in the division. If he did sign i still think atlanta owns this division the next 5 years at least.

they'll be a wild card contender without Bryce (they won 80 games last year but adding Realmuto Robertson McCutchen and Segura will help. Even if they added Harper I don't think that would make them a contender for the East title. I still see them behind Atlanta and Washington.

lol. That sounds like the worst deal ever for the Padres. Which is unfortunate bc I like them.

 

I think it’s a good deal for them. He’ll be great for most of his contract and they have a top tier farm system. As long as those guys develop well they’ll be a strong team soon.

 

To be honest that wasn't a big deal to me.
