Waiting for the first negative comment from uh anyone lol. Everyone I’ve showed this too loves it.

 

For anyone interested, here is the setlist from Friday night. Looks like I forgot a couple, and this is in order.

Love that set list. I’ve seen the band at least 12 times, so seeing a good amount of new songs is preferable.

 

Wow opening with so above... I can’t wait until April!!!!

 

Yeah, y'all said it. This is phenomenal. Can't see myself listening to a whole lot else (or even anything else at all) for a good while

 

I think it was a great set. I wish there was one more song from Ixora (Maybe ordinary or in her arms she will never starve) but I really can’t complain. Hearing as above, skywriter, and lay here for the first time ever in a live setting was cool too so I’m glad they went with this set. Good chance the rest of the tour has a longer set, both them on Friday and Lucy Dacus last night (same venue) seem to have played shorter than their planned set times due to the cold.

 

It’s such a thrill seeing a band you loved when you were 15 hitting their full potential when you are 32. Such a long commitment haha, but what a payoff this record is. It’s everything I could have asked for and more.

 

This album feels like it exists in that weird state of mind in between dreaming and being awake. Where your senses are often unreliable and things seem more intense than usual while you’re being enveloped in a state of confusion and unreality. But at the same time, there’s almost a womblike comfort to these songs.

it’s called hypnagogic state and there’s (was) an entire music trend around it haha

 

Aaron fucking killed it on bass for this album.

This album sounds like it's so much in my wheelhouse that it's almost hard to believe. Patiently waiting for Thursday!

wow I haven't listened to a single second of any of this album. Behind on the times. I should listen to it and report back.
