Bored To Death being in people's top 10 is a take that I wouldn't have expected. It's one of the better post reunion songs no doubt, but over their entire catalogue? I don't know man.

 

why did Tom leave

I put Bored to Death at #15. Probably songs that I enjoy more overall, but every time I hear that song I just remember the excitement surrounding it. Tom had left the band, Matt had joined and there was this big cloud of uncertainty as to if the music would be any good or if it would even sound like Blink. Then the song came out and suddenly the Blink hype returned.

I think I had it ranked what 7th? To be honest I didn't really put a lot of thought in the rankings after my top 6 as the other 9 songs are interchangeable to me and super close and honestly I think it could extend it to 20 or 25 before I can really say yeah I can't take Song X over Song Y. However I just really really like BTD. I think the back and forth between Mark and Matt works great, love the pre chorus and chorus. The bridge is a top 5 Mark bridge and the outro with Matt's oooo's is a great way to end the song. Ask me in a few years and it could change as I didn't have Waggy in my top 15 3 or 4 years ago.

 

I wanna live inside that bass tone. That, anthem part 2, and she’s out of her mind come to mind as the most buttery of mark’s bass tones I wish I could mimic.

 

I’m gonna let my iTunes play counts determine my fav blink songs. In order from most played:

Oh for sure, I didn't expect the ranks to be totally spot on and in the exact positions. I do totally get that it's easily one of the top post reunion songs, though if I had to pick one it would probably be Cynical. I guess my point is that Blink has such an incredible back catalogue that it would be hard for me to think of almost any post reunion song before at least 30 or so pre-2004 ones. It's interesting at the very least. No wrong opinions in here, it's all good stuff haha.
