Iceland are going to have to play way better to advance, but I'll be pulling for em the whole way.

 

Been too busy to come on here this week but I think Italy - Belgium is pick for best first round game.

My assessment so far is that France will grow into this tournament attacking wise, but are shaky defensively. Giroud needs more movement around him to be effective.
England look good but Sterling was terrible and Hodgson messed up bringing on Milner rather than Vardy to stretch the game.
Germany were killer. My current favourites. They lack a killer centre forward but are still strong enough.
Spain are as usual looking good but they may struggle to carve out chances. Morata's movement is very impressive.
Italy will be a massive threat, despite looking weak up top. Possibly the only really solid team at the back.
Iceland will get out of this group purely because everyone is so inconsistent.


Also, Russia need to be banned and stripped of the world cup. The behaviour of their fans is a disgrace to the sport and I hope Uefa step up big time.

 

Have you seen what some of the Russian officials have been saying in the aftermath? One of them actually managed to work a homophobic comment into an idiotic statement about fan violence.

 

So today's trash rumour of the day is Mkhitaryan to United.

 

Between the homophobic official the violence condoning policeman, the "woe is me" Dzyuba quotes and more, they really are making themselves sound like utter shit heads.
