Anything on Neil young? I'm guessing he's recording until spring but figured I'd ask anyway

This just got announced for next year so I imagine he might be doing some other dates.

 

Yea, I saw that, I'm guessing some stuff before or after or both. Probably a bunch of festivals in between

 

Me making the decision not to financially support him and his band has absolutely nothing to do with the justice system.

But you specifically said it wasn't a tough call, and I'm saying that if you believe in the way our justice system works (or religious principles for that matter) and second chances for people who have paid for their mistakes, that it could be a tough call.

 

“second chance” doesn’t mean that things will/should go back to the way things were. yes, he’s out of prison, but that doesn’t mean that there can’t/shouldn’t be long-lasting consequences as a result of his actions.

I wouldn’t expect Glassjaw to be on a lineup like this

 

Psycho Las Vegas has always had some weird outliers that fit in pretty well so Glassjaw being there doesn't surprise me at all. Uncle Acid being billed above them is a bit of a surprise to me though (unless I'm reading this teaser announcement improperly). I had no idea they were that big.

 

I think you underestimate how many people will come out to see Hugh Jackman sing mediocre pop songs from last year's biggest movie soundtrack. It is the greatest show after all. ;)

 

Makes me wonder if The Band Camino will play Gov Ball

 

If anyone is going to the bosstones on Dec. 30th, Definitely make it out for color killer, Their a band of three kids all under the age of 12 who rock

 

I think it’s a first wave. They’ve gotten some pretty big names in the past, so I’m assuming some bigger names will be announced later on

 

Uncle Acid isn't drastically bigger, it's just that Psycho tends to give the more special "gets" more prominence in marketing. Compare last years initial bands to the final lineup and then to the day by day schedules. Which at 3 days and 3 stages, can't really take early rough billing as anything definitive. A 3 top billed bands will surely have prominent slots, if not equal slots depending on how much bigger the bands get from here on out.

 

I'm aware of that, but they're not even that special of a get. They're doing a full A-Market NA tour in March. I just didn't realize that they'd gotten that popular with the Psycho Las Vegas crowd. If anything, Oranssi is the most special get. This would be their third NA show period IIRC.

 

Uncle Acid is exactly what I think would be a Psycho crowd sort of band. Popularity + relative specialness, as they don't tour the US too often, certainly less often than High On Fire and now to a certain extent Glassjaw. No one knows who Oranssi is.
