So, I have wanted to get a Blink tattoo for the longest time, and I think I am finally going to go get it guys. I really want to get the Smiley with 6 arrows, or maybe 7, but I want to see if I will like California enough to put it on there, and below it, I want to get "Tomorrow holds such better days". I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety this year, and it is something I have suffered with long before I got diagnosed, but Adam's Song is a song that will always hold a special place in my heart. It got me through a rough time in my life.

What do you guys think? You like?

Sounds awesome mate. I've been thinking bout one on my foot too.
But I'm more of a 5 arrow man. Maybe 6. 5 seems the most aesthetically pleasing

Earlier this week, I snapchatted Travis Barker asking him what is favorite meals are at the restaurant Crossroads because I wanted to check that place out while we were out here since Travis talks about it a lot. Surprisingly, Travis wrote back with like two full paragraphs describing his favorite food there. I screenshot it, saved the list for this weekend, and geeked the fuck out to my friends for a few minutes. Cool.

Then, a couple days ago, I saw online that Travis was going to be doing a signing at this little store here in LA this on Friday (yesterday). So obviously, my brother and I had to go! There weren't as many people waiting there in line as you'd probably imagine. At least I was surprised. They were letting about 7-8 people in at a time, and we were in the third or fourth group. So we go in, shake Travis' hand, I get a picture with him, and then I said, "Hey I'm the dude that was snapchatting you about Crossroads. Let's go there after the signing!" Haha I was obviously (kind of) kidding. He said, "Oh man! I wiiiiish, but I have a lot of Blink records and drumheads to sign this weekend. But I might go over there. We'll see." And I shook his hand again and left.

My brother and I geeked out together about meeting Travis as we drove down the street a few blocks over to Crossroads. We go in and they sit us at the 2 person table nearest to the main entrance, and I'm facing the door. My brother and I go through the list that Travis gave us and we each ordered a couple things from it. I got the Asparagus Oysters and a Kale Salad, Travis highly recommends both of those. I also ordered their draft Hefeweizen beer.

They bring out the first plates we ordered. Holy shit those oysters were amazing! Seriously so good. While we were sitting there eating, an actress walked in. Not sure her name, but I definitely recognized her. So cool, we saw a famous-ish person! Ha.

Then they bring our our seconds plates. Mine was the kale salad. A big ol' mound of it. I'm about halfway through it, feeling a bit tipsy from the beer (I was already well into my second one), and then in walks fucking Travis! I kick my brother and tell him to look, and we are both so stoked! Haha. I whispered to Travis to come over, and he walked to our table and we all gushed about the food for a minute and I told him thank you for the recommendations, blah blah blah. And then he told us to order the chocolate bread pudding because "it's stupid how good it is!" And then drunk Brad said, "Pull up a chair!" Haha and he said he couldn't cuz he was meeting someone there. It was just one of his friends or an assistant. I saw him earlier at the signing, and he was kind of in charge of herding people in and out, etc.

So Travis and his pal go and sit down at a table near the back of the restaurant. My brother and I start geeking out again, obviously. "We've talked to Travis TWICE today! Ahhhh!" Haha. But while geeking out, I notice a couple people walk into the restaurant, and one of them was Spider-Man, himself! Tobey Maguire. That was cool! But I didn't ask him to come over to our table haha.

After I finished my big kale salad, we ordered out desserts. I got the chocolate bread pudding like Travis suggested, and he wasn't kidding. It was SO good! I'm about halfway through and see Travis is on his way out. But before he left, fucking Travis comes up to OUR table and asks ME what I think of the dessert! I told him it was amazing and thank you and how it was so good to meet him a couple times today, blah blah blah, and he left.

I saw and talked to Travis THREE times yesterday! Gahhhh!!!

After dinner, my brother and I drove about 5 minutes from the restaurant to see where Blink filmed the "What's My Age Again?" music video. So that was pretty cool!

After that, we went to The Matches show and had a great sweaty fun time.

I got a couple pictures of Travis, the WMAA spots, and The Matches that I'll post later. But yeah, there's my story!

Now I'm gonna snap Travis and see if he wants to hike to the Hollywood sign with me and my brother this morning. Haha

Reading this just made my week. I'm living vicariously through you from this day forward

Same here.iam going get Smiley and same skully butterfly tattoo as Matt has right on 1.st July and then going to straight to NYC for weekend alone just so I could walking streets and listening new album so it would reminds me NYC always when when I'll hear it hahah.there is no chance o wouldn't like it.Trio's and Blink's music literary saving my life since i was kid.

Haha, I get tattooed VERY often (benefits of your best friend being a tattoo artist) so i'll probably get something else representing them somewhere down the line. The smiley just isn't visually pleasing to me at this point.

Makes sense, my one and only tattoo is the blink smiley haha. Unlike my fiancé who has two blink tats, the umbrella Corp logo and the tvirus vile lol. Although I am debating getting the Witcher wolf school symbol on my other arm.

Oh man, Alkaline Trio fans are like the juggalos of punk rock, every other one probably has the same exact tattoo. I had to think long and hard about mine to make it unique so even if I stopped liking it as much or they fucked up hardcore or something I'd still have something awesome. I've lucked out so far.

12 years ago in Vegas, I played poker with Tobey Maguire and won almost $2K off him. At that point, I got up and left the table knowing that I wouldn't do any better than that. Plus, I knew it would make a great story versus the alternative of staying and losing it all. (The former Spider-Man is infamous for his gambling obsession; do some searches and you'll see.)

However, it did get better...

I stopped by a "Wheel of Fortune" game and put $5 on 200 to 1 odds. Sure enough, it landed on 200 to 1.

Then, on my way back to the hotel where I was staying... I saw D. Grohl outside of a restaurant in the hotel's shopping area. So, I talked to him for a while and got him to sign something etc. Seeing him perform with Nirvana in 1991 is why I became a musician. So, I managed to tell him this without sounding like a gushing fanboy. I also thanked him for not being an a-hole to me and ruining my perception of him after all these years. (He laughed.)

However, the person I was with during all this was really ill at the time and she referenced how she was "skin and bones." Maybe a year later, FF released the song "Skin & Bones" which ended up being the titular name for their live acoustic album/tour/DVD.

Since we'll never know for certain, I'm not going to say we were the ones to influence this song name and future acoustic tour/live album/DVD, but the timing of it all matches up perfectly.

End of story.
