Record has some good songs, lots of duds too. Remember downloading the leak and thinking it was a fake

I know I'm not the only one who shares this opinion about that album... where are the self titled supporters!!

Self titled is OK. Hasn't aged super well. It's So Simple and Bury Your Head are still bangers

I hadn't heard Saosin (or much of any music really) before the self titled came out so the album version is the one I'm familiar with lol

I just never cared to listen to discount-Anthony sing on top of watered down Saosin songs

self titled is great, songs from that would be worth going to see

ISOSG is still a bit lackluster unfortunately

so there was a version that was really well produced that came out when they announced Cove as the singer. Then there was a version on the Capital EP... that one was ehhh.. Beau produced it and it was a bit rough... then the album version is solid as well.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Cove also has always sounded pretty terrible live

Self titled album still bangs for sure. Cove has never sounded good live unfortunately and the follow up to the ST album fell short massively.

I never thought ST was very good, even back then. I had anticipated its release a little too even.

the 2 tracks on there from the black EP were the only songs I liked and they were bangers. the rest curiously didn’t come close to measuring up.

    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

    S/T > TTN.

    Don't @ me.

  21. S/T holds up but it's way too formulaic. You've heard one song, you've heard it all. TTN and Along The Shadow are better.

ST and TTN are scene classics. ISOSG is way underrated.

I listened to ISOSG recently and maybe it was the nostalgia tied to it but man, I really like that album. I was a huge Saosin fan back then and when it came out I was definitely a little underwhelmed. As time has gone on I've really come to like it.

Along the Shadow does absolutely nothing for me. In truth Anthony Green really doesn't do much for me but I see the appeal.

Glad someone else likes it! It’s similarly stylistically to S/T and has some really catchy hooks, don’t really get the disappointment. Fireflies especially is spectacular.

  25. Cove's vocals hold it back on the most upbeat songs. It could have been a solid alt rock album if it had better hooks, especially coming from S/T which still is the album to top in terms of catchiness. The Alarming Sound of A Still Small Voice, Fireflies and Nothing Is What It Seems are excellent. Why Can't You See, Deep Down, and The Worst Of Me's Grey EP version are good. I don't use the rest.
