This was such a great purchase

 

I’ve only seen a pic of it, but here it is

 

Sweet. Like that they listed two unheard songs in the listen to section. I was fearing I had heard the best the album had to offer and I was mildly worried.

 

The build up to this record is the same I felt in the build up to Force Awakens.

 

I feel no build up. But I also dgaf either way cause I'm selfish.

Interesting somebody mentioning TFA because I specifically remembering jamming the fuck out of UGH! around the time of it’s release.

 

I started crying talking about how excited I am for this album and my gf laughed at me but was like low key you’re right this is gonna change our lives

 

here’s a thought, this band has meant so so so much to me from ages 19-26 and mostly 23-26, but I just tried to imagine how much this band would mean to me if I had them from ages like 15-16 to present. Like I hope these kids realize just how lucky they are to have a band like this in their lives.

 

I’m not sure I would have appreciated it at 16. I totally get what you’re saying though. I was listening to some b list Drive Thru bands on the way home today and some of this stuff doesn’t even remotely hold up.

 

I think the special thing about this band is their themes can stretch a lot of different stages of growing up into adulthood

 

I’m not sick of ANY of the singles yet and that is absurd. Rollout started in June, yea?

The other night I was drunkenly going on and on to my gf and on about how excited I am for the record. She likes the band, but she doesn't think they're anything too special, which I sorta maybeeeee understand as she's only heard them through me and she hasn't connected with them the way many of us have, but I do suspect this new album (plus seeing them with me in May) is going to totally win her over. Hope so, anyway...
