I'm going to stop reading these before you all ruin Copeland for me lol. I can't 'unhear' this!

 

man new song is legit great. I think it really captures the current movement toward alot of electronic /indie asthestic going on right now (see: bands like Talos)

 

Anyone know where this is from? It sounds like an old movie that's on the tip of my tongue. But I may be completely off.

 

Hmm. I think it was just made for the song but it does sorta remind me of ScarJo from Her tbh

 

You Have My Attention will forever be my favorite Copeland song. I have so many memories attached to it.

 

Pope is so good with headphones.

 

But really, I absolutely love the song.

This is kind of funny considering how Aaron famously hates lyric videos. Lol

 

I listened to Pope for the first 10 times through speakers. Then I put them on my AKG K701s when I couldn't sleep one night... Absolutely changes the song. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The production and mix sounds absolutely unreal through good headphones.

OK I tried to read some of that article, but I don't really understand much of what is going on. From what I gather, he is a YouTube star and.... plays drums on these songs? Produces them? Writes them?

Either way, that song is pretty awesome and the guest vocalists on the rest of the album are legit also

 

I guess he does drum covers on YouTube? This is umm.... uh... I dunno

Hey! So this is my article :)

He's the ex-husband of Youtuber Jaclyn Hill, who does makeup videos and has a massive following. Their divorce was a big thing amongst that community, and there was never really much explanation between either of them as to why. So I was able to land the interview with him where he talks about it, and that's the article!

He plays drums on all of the song, he worked on it with Spencer from Tides of Man, and then also has these guest vocalists for each song -- who helped him write their individual songs as well!

 

Awesome, thanks for all the clarification! It seems I understood most of it haha. I honestly know NOTHING about YouTube stars or communities or anything, soooo I was definitely lost. The article is definitely well written, don't worry, it's just about something I don't personally understand haha
