So Astoria just emerged as chorus.fm's favourite Marianas Trench song, beating out Masterpiece Theatre III in the final round of our Marianas Trench bracket. Thanks to everyone who participated - it was fun!

 

How close was the final count?

Honestly I think MP3 is a better song contextually within the album, but Astoria just wins out as the better and more impactful song overall

 

I don't disagree with that. You really need a full appreciation for the entirety of Masterpiece Theater to get the most out of MPIII. Astoria stands on its own in that regard, but dammit if they aren't both phenomenal.

We Should Be Friends is okay - I spun it a couple of times but didn't have a lot of lasting value for me.
