Not emo but fuck it. Record is pay what you want and it's incredible. My AOTY is currently between this and mwY out of everything I've heard so far this year. Seriously blown away by this album.

 

Hodera is like the emo version of Lucero and I'm not complaining about that.

Regarding Hodera, I can hear that Lucero comparison, and I love them too.

Hodera's last release, First Things First, was great. I was going through some personal, drug-related mental health shit when it came out last year and that album was there for me (cliche I know; Phoebe Brigers' "Stranger in the Alps" helped a lot too). When I listen to the album now I'm flung into catharsis.

Anybody into that new Typesetter record? Does that belong here? 6131 records.

Also holy shit, this is awesome. Just listened to this track alone but gonna check out the whole album and I can see it being up there for me too, if this track is an accurate indicator of what the rest of the album might sound like.

Nanami Ozone is tight, liked the new songs and listening to the old album now. Tiny Engines makes this world less miserable.

There is not and likely will not be a better record than CheemTV to come out of this “scene” this year. They went for it in a big, big way and the risks paid off imo. They need to blow the fuck up off this.
