I love how the Lakers were a playoff lock before the season started and now people are acting like they never had a shot to be good

Making the playoffs and being good are two different things.

I don't think they're a good team. They still will probably make the playoffs and win a lot of games.

 

As far as I can tell, the Lakers are exactly what most thoughtful nba people said they were going to be.

They are poorly constructed to maximize Lebron because they don’t have enough shooting to surround him. And they are fairly young.

And Lebron’s defensive effort in the regular season is...lax. Which has kinda pulled down their defensive rating.

But they also have Lebron and some talent, so they can hang.

 

I’m sticking with they’re missing the playoffs still

 

Same. End the season around .500. Some stretches where they fall 5-10 games below and then Bron will get super pissed and carry them to a weird winning streak to look decent.

 

They’ll make the playoffs but Walton probably gets fired during the season, he’s not Magic’s hire
