I love In Motion but yeah it’s not my favorite. I remember the people in my life that liked them were sad they didn’t have any rock out songs like Love Is A Fast Song on ESR. And they kept hoping they’d go back to that style. So far for me I seem to keep liking each new record they put out more than the last. So rn my ranking is

I actually wish there was one more Copeland record like In Motion. Jangly pop rock. Not my favorite record, but it was their best shot at mainstream success.

 

Yeah it’s weird to here that Aaron wanted main stream success. I always thought he didn’t care about it but hearing they always wanted to play on tv on a late night show and stuff makes me wonder if that would have happened had they done another In Motion.

 

First impression is song is really good but didn’t hit me right away, needs more listens. A lot of strings and it’s quite obviously beautiful, but I think I’m not sure about the vocal melody. I also like the weird ending. Wouldn’t mind having some ambient avant-garde Copeland in my life.

My wife is also a big Copeland fan and doesn’t like Pope. She is telling me i only like it cause I’m convincing myself to like it

Haha yeah i think it will grow on her. We also just listened on my Xs Max phone speaker which isn’t ideal. I love it though. Give me all the weird Copeland!!
