We're getting new Yellowcard from them this year. That's enough for me to still care.

 

I'm just ready to hear the entire album now. "Bored To Death" was a great solid single. "Rabbit Hole" seems like a song that will be a lot of fun live, but I think the recording itself will be better in context with the whole album. At least I hope so.

 

I liked a handful of their songs. Loved the guitar work at least. Pretty catchy/melodic too. Meh or miss lyrically though.

Haha! I'm not saying your about this band or With Confidence. When I think Hopeless I think Yellowcard, All Time Low, TBS, Bayside, NFG, Moose Blood, The Wonder Years. So I'll let them have a few duds.

I don't follow this scene at all anymore really but Yellowcard will always be something I hang on to. And probably Taking Back Sunday after looking at the labels current roster.

Yeah it's been a few years since I've followed pop-punk really at all. When scene classic bands drop an album I always give it a shot hoping it'll be something I can still enjoy.

 

Just to clarify, since you said you like BTD MORE than RH, that means the two singles from California are both in your top 4 songs post-reunion?

I don't follow too many new pop punk bands. I do check in for all the old school ones. Constantly hoping that NFG release an album that I really enjoy again!

Beyond that, I guess I won't change the song if Dogs Eating Dogs (just the song) comes on. Everything else they've put out is incredibly boring to me, so they are basically in the top 4 since 2009 by default.

Edit: Up All Night falls into that "won't change the song if it comes on" category as well

I miss the Samiam and Mustard Plug days of Hopeless Records. I don't think I've bought/cared for an album released on that label in15 years. Other than the 2 bands listed above.

 

Man I love Matt's vocals.

Neat. I wonder how awkward that is for Matt or if he even went up with Mark to accept it at all.

 

What made me even more excited for this album was seeing them live at X-games. I had already accepted the fact that this was the new blink and had seen lots of videos with Matt live, but I still thought I'd find myself missing tom at the shows.

As much of a tom fan as I am, I didn't even think about it. It was so much fun and it felt just as natural having Matt up there. Everyone's having a good time and I love it.

 

Come on now... The Wonder Years, New Found Glory, All Time Low, Yellowcard, Sum 41, Taking Back Sunday, Bayside, Have Mercy, Somos, The Used, Aaron West & The Roaring Twenties... In what way does that make for an awful label haha
