At this point it doesn't even matter to me if she's somehow "innocent" or was blackmailed or whatever. That was never the base of my issue with him to begin with. It was the way he was going about handling the situation and all he's done is make it worse. Her being "innocent" doesn't undo him being an asshole.

Yes. When that came out, her camp alleged that he "sexually attacked" her.

    Things have changed.

    Not without Tom.

Just to be clear: Asia Argento has been through a lot. She is a victim who has had to go through shit I cannot conceive of. She also has been accused of sexual assault. It's serious, messy, somber stuff involving a lot of pain and trauma for a lot of people, all the more reason that people like Matt should maybe think twice before saying and posting a lot of the very clearly emotional defense of her that he's been doing. He can believe her, he can love who he loves and have the friends that he has. But it sends a message, like it or not, when you stand by people publicly like that. It's reckless for him to behave the way he's behaving.

  7. Oh ya. Re: enema anniversary shows: I’d be all over it because I love Anthem that much. The song is above my need to see Tom perform the album (horrendously) So Matt singing Anthem would be just fine with me.

It is disappointing to see how Skiba handled the whole thing. Idk what's gone on in Argento's life, whatever his reasons are for feeling like he can't just cold turkey cut off support for her, what he knows or thinks he knows more than the general public, but it should be easy enough to at least listen and not be all public about it since it's bothering so many.

Whether or not he’s friends with her and truly believes her he has to know it’s dangerous in 2018 to preach about “innocence until proven guilty” and the importance of the word “alleged”

Matt definitely needs to handle everything better, he also lost his cool because a fan made a pretty ingnorant comment to him about it. But that's still no excuse and he needs to find a way to cope with things a better way. Is he an asshole ? Sure but he's also not evil. I also believe that whatever is going on between him and her should be kept private especially with how messy the situation is. I'm honestly curious what Mark thinks about this as well as the rest of the boys in the Trio.

This is just so bad, line for line.

Meaning of the word alleged - no real explanation needed in that one

As someone who has been falsely accused - that’s really shitty that that happened to you. That also doesn’t mean we doubt every woman coming forward (even though ironically most people do anyway)

Court of public opinion should consider these people innocent - we kind of tried that for the last 50 years and that’s how Bill Cosby got away with raping all those women.

I chose to believe my dear friend Asia - fine, stand by your friend. But also understand that if that friend has done some nasty shit, you’re going to get called on it.

Matt and Travis are making it really hard for me to get excited about any new blink music or shows.

At this point the only thing Tom would be far better at than Matt on Enema is the main riff in WMAA. And I honestly have no desire to see Tom play Dumpweed again. I'd see an Enema show without Tom.

I’d see enema in full either way. They will 100% do something for enema next year. But would prefer Tom to be a part of it. Love the guy can’t help myself

  20. They should have done a 10th anniversary tour for Enema in 2009 and then left it at that.

Honestly, I'd be WAY more excited in a 20th anniversary re-release of the album with bonus tracks (the demos, man overboard, family reunion), include the first Urethra Chronicles on DVD with it, and have extended liner notes with tidbits from Mark, Tom, and Travis about the writing and recording sessions, Jerry Finn memories, etc.

Well, it wouldn't feel right if Matt sang songs he didn't play on or sing on for a big anniversary show like that. That's just me though.

If Mark, Tom, and Scott reunited for a cheshire/Dude Ranch show, id pay anything to go even knowing how much Tom sucks

I agree. I’d like to specify that I’d feel this way about any band replacing a singer. I’m fine with them playing any song they want in their regular setlist but an anniversary show without the band members from that album would be weird.

Exactly ! Any type of anniversary show or farewell tour must include Tom.

He’s already sung most of them live now already. It really doesn’t matter.
