I dunno. He's vocal frying it up on the recorded version so much it's hard to say. Haha. I just glanced through 3 or 4 live vids and they're all "for" so I don't know why he'd just change that one word every time.

 

It's cool to have guests , but with Mark, Matt and Travis in a band , I don't see the need for this personally.

 

I've never heard "Lord" in there, but considering he says "God has a master plan" a few lines later, I wouldn't doubt it. Wacky lyrics either way.

 

If I let lyrics ruin Blink songs for me there wouldn't be many left lol

It's not true at all. Blink was an established band before 1999 that came from a specific scene. 5SOS came out of nowhere and are managed by same people who do boy bands. Look, I'll concede my Feldman argument , but take the L here on your analogy bruh.

 

I think a bunch of kids right here actually just said "Blink 182: great guitar band, awesome riffs". I'm beginning to think you've never even been in a Guitar Center!

 

I think he said the song is about dying and seeing a loved one at your bedside but you can't talk to them. So he's telling HER "Hold my hand for now. God is taking me away". I'm 99% sure it's "for".

It should really be called Ghost on the Hospital Room Floor though.

Blink were not an "established" band before they signed to a major label and were thrown through the exact same machine like structure that 5SOS are now. Called the same names. Looked at the exact same by the elite douchebags of the scene. The only difference is in how the bands were discovered, one by using the internet and sending around demos, the other by playing shows and sending out demos. The enormity of the Blink-182 machine was just as big, if not bigger, than 5SOS. The moves of 'selling out' just the same. To this generation, they are their Blink-182. Like it or not. It's true.

 

I didn't see a single person say great guitar band actually. Yep, just searched, the phrase is only used to describe other bands ...

He didn't get that bad and add the affectation until later. Plus the best songs weren't dominated by him; it's why him alone sucks.

 

You saying it's true does not make it true. Yes, blink was part of the major label machine , but they still came from the skate / punk scene and had respect from their peers. They had a big following within that niche before Dude Ranch
