Tbh not best year for yr classic Twinkle emo , but tons of amazing stuff roughly associated with the scene

 

Boreen’s lovely will be my go to fall sadness album but that drops in a couple weeks

 

Sonder Bombs is so good

 

Gulfer and Charmer lead the way in that regard for me.

 

Good twinkly album that came out this year and was mostly overlooked. Former Moving Mountains member is part of this band and it's produced by Greg Dunn.

So while not a new album per day, objectively speaking TTNG acoustic is best fall album of 2018

Hidden Gems: Forests, “Sun Eat Moon Grave Party”

 

forests are fantastic. Lyrics tbh leave a lot to be desired, but instrumentally they are A+

 

they recorded a new album/EP earlier this year, so hopefully something new soon
