there are a lot of great 4-5 song stretches all across the album tbh

 

It’s not one of my favorites but I love the guitar during the “no one will save us” part of Guns of Summer

 

i think im gonna dive really deep into all of it when i get some money to buy the comics and stuff

i didnt get into SSTB until wayyyyy later, like after black rainbow, and im substantially less familiar with it than every other album other than maybe descension

The reading order is weird though, since some albums are prequels.
I saw Coheed recently and they had the graphic novels signed at the merch booth and others he wrote that aren’t part of Amory Wars, so that was cool.

 

yeah ill have to look up which album falls where in the story and try to keep it in mind as i work my way through the comics

 

im definitely interested in those as well, and if i like his writing within the armory wars im definitely gonna check out his other works.

 

I have one I bought at the booth. I might post about it in here after I finish it soon.

 

i feel like they haven't been playing anything from either afterman album for the last few tours... so sad :(

 

the timeskip motif from the start of In Keeping Secrets definitely marks sort of credit sequences where a bunch of time has passed and each character is in a different place. I'm fairly sure the Time Consumer riff represents Coheed the character, because it only appears in songs that he's in (Time Consumer is him deliberating whether or not to kill his children and 2113 is when Claudio remembers "in the words of father to son" etc). apart from those the only album I really know is Black Rainbow because I read the book that came with it; the really harsh industrial-type passages in that album are pretty well suited to the plot of the book, but I don't know if specific passages actually advance the story without the lyrics

 

I think the similar guitar parts in The Crowing and The Final Cut might be related story wise too

There’s also a comic book for good Apollo that released at the same time as good Apollo, but it’s confusing, so that’s why they recently redid it.
