as much as i like it i'd have a hard time saying anything on the new record is better than, say, the harmonized backing vocals in "the suffering"

Someone earlier in the thread also compared "Love Protocol" to Juggernaut, too, but I see it more as a reworked "Here to Mars." Juggernaut stands far above both of those, IMO... the lead guitar line in the chorus makes the whole song and elevates it above pure pop.

Young Love is my least favorite Coheed song by far

Here to Mars is aggressively awful, I will never forgive Claudio and co. for putting that vile piece of shit on an actual album of theirs. Those lyrics make me want to blow my fucking brains out, could you get anymore cheesier? Fuck that song, it is absolutely the wordst thing this band has ever released.

I love Here to Mars. It’s one of the highlights of TCBTS.

We reach for the longest shadow

Here to Mars is fine, but there's a lot better in the "pop Coheed" section.

Decided to turn on Here to Mars and yeah, it’s awesome.

One listen and I promise this will be in my head for at least a few days now. One of their biggest earworms for me.

I haven't found a solid tracklisting yet, but someone has them posted on YouTube.

Going back through their stuff and 33 is such a fun song. Definitely underrated by me.

Island and You Got Spirit, Kid are kinda the only songs I like on TCBTS, but I really love both. Pavilion is my favorite song on the new album lol. I gotta do a discography listen, I've heard all their albums but I'm not intimately familiar with them whatsoever

No hating on The Pavillion is allowed anywhere ever.

Yes, I actually hate "Here to Mars" that much. One of the biggest disappointments from a band I love, ever.

It’s certainly fine for anyone to dislike a song. I dislike several of them myself. But I think many take issue with the hyperbolic statement that the lyrics make you want to “blow your brains out.”

Considering that many of those posting in here have openly documented their mental health struggles, it would probably be wise to be more artful in your criticisms.

33 is definitely underrated and was so much fun live on the Neverender SSTB tour

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

The worst Coheed song is definitely Dark Side of Me imo
