Finally caught up on the Halloweenies podcast. I like their behind the scenes knowledge, but man, they are painfully unfunny and completely unaware of it.

  10. I’m unfamiliar with that show. Not worth catching up or is there enough good info to make up for it?

There’s good back and forth about plot, and of course, behind the scenes stuff. But the jokes don’t stick and they insist on repeating them. The episodes are super long, so it’s good for eating up time. They usually spend the first 30-45 minutes talking about news/rumors regarding the new film coming out, and then the next 2 hours or more are devoted to each movie in the franchise. I have a love/hate relationship because I am really interested in the information side, but I think they butcher the entertainment side. I find myself disagreeing with their opinions (especially their hate for H20 and love for Halloween 6 and their views on Donald Pleasance). I believe there are two more episodes planned: a review of Zombie’s films and a review of the new film. I’m a completist, so I’ll be listening. The Ringer podcast called “Unmasked” has been much more entertaining, although I believe all 8 episodes will be about the first film only. For shorter podcasts about Halloween, I also recommend “Now Playing”, which did 40-45 minute reviews of each film and will be doing a 2 hour review of the new film in a couple weeks. I find myself agreeing with those guys a lot more. I’ve been on a Halloween kick since the new movie was announced, so I like to listen to these podcasts at work and during my commute. Let me know if you need links to these podcasts. They’re pretty easy to find on iTunes though.

  12. Ya unmasked is rad. I believe they’re going to cover the sequels as well yet not as in depth. Stoked for the rest of that. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll check it out after the film is released.

Honestly thinking about this...pretty simple...but the one thing i absolutely adored about H2O was her stand off against him. I feel like this film is going to be the best possible version of that. I’m gonna start shadowboxing in the theatre like I did when Batman fought Bane

Got my tickets for the preview showings last week and the Mondo glass. I usually skip and regret not getting them so I'm happy this is my first.

Halloweenies is great. Unmasked, i mean it's alright? They haven't said anything about the movie/series we don't already know for the most part.

I disagree. Her analysis and the narrative format is cool. The Halloweenies guys are a little too self indulgent for my taste.

  22. Here’s a ton of photos I took yesterday at the Halloween 40 years of terror event. This is the raw from the card so pardon the bad ones. They’ll be used on my buddy’s blog next week for the write up. Thought you’d all enjoy though. iCloud Photo Sharing

  23. Day 2 was great. Somehow the best panels were h3 and the zombie films. We did NOT plan on doing the zombie panel but I’m glad we did. Secured a great spot for the 1978 panel and it was actually really enjoyable. I’ll post the write ups when my buddy publishes them. That shared album above should have photos from today uploading now. Had Dean Cundey sign my BTTF blu ray. Meant to talk to him about what went into restoring the 1978 film but just got too flustered.
