I'm home now so here's what I think about [untitled]: it's good, folks. the album is probably less heavy than a lot of you are expecting based on what reviews and such have been emphasizing - especially the middle section. 9:27 is a ripper. totally wild opener. it's pretty easily the heaviest on the album though (granted, it might be the heaviest song they've ever done). flee, thou matadors! is an instant classic mwY song. pretty easily my favorite on the album. feels like a cut off foxes to me. Aaron has absolutely never sounded better than on this album. Michael, row your boat ashore reminds me of rainbow signs, but not quite as intense. I do think I like the EP version of winter solstice more, though. I think pale horses -> [untitled] is a similar jump as foxes -> brother sister

 

don't think it'll be up for streaming until the release date.
